This place is great. Clean, updated, spacious and a parking garage right behind the building made it really convenient. Owner communication was excellent and proactive. 10 minute walk to Great American Ballpark and probably would be about the same if not less to Paycor Stadium. Loved it.

Great place to host a group!

We stayed downtown for my sister’s bachelorette party. Our whole group was so excited when we walked in. It was beautiful and very clean. There was great space to get ready and the location was very convenient to OTR and parking. I highly recommend staying here!

Perfectly modern

The apartment was very large with plenty of space to spread out. It was nicely appointed with a modern style that all the girls appreciated. We slept well in the comfortable beds. Overall we loved the place and would stay there again.

Amazing Place!

We absolutely loved our rental, we had an easy time getting in to the building and the elevator made getting up and down from the third floor very easy (my in-laws have some mobility issues.) The place was clean, gorgeous, comfortable and well-stocked. We enjoyed the common areas and the location was perfect for all the things we had planned around town. Maybe the only thing I would add would be some grab bars for the showers, otherwise we absolutely loved it! Keep in mind you’ll be staying downtown so there are lots of downtown noises (traffic, dump trucks, groups of people, sirens, etc.) but that’s just the nature of being in the area. We would definitely stay again!

Oasis in Heart of the City

While I wasn't expecting much from Cincinnati after years away, I fell in love with this apartment and the downtown area. The apartment exceeded all expectations, offering ample space for my sister and two teens to relax comfortably. It was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully equipped with a fully stocked kitchen and cozy beds, creating a true home away from home. Beautifully decorated for Christmas, it added such a warm, festive touch to our stay.Located conveniently close to everything yet peacefully quiet, the apartment provided a perfect retreat. My sister found the spacious layout tranquil, and the kids enjoyed exploring it and relaxing in their own spaces. The secure and reasonably priced nearby parking was a definite plus, making our comings and goings hassle-free. The hosts were incredibly responsive, answering our questions within minutes. This apartment didn’t just make our trip more comfortable and enjoyable; it transformed our entire impression of the city. I highly recommend it for families or anyone looking for a hidden gem in the heart of the city.

Perfect for photos!

I was in town briefly to do a photo shoot for a childhood friend and needed location. This place is every bit as gorgeous as the photos show it to be and we had lots of options for places to take photos; I would’ve needed an entire weekend to shoot everything I wanted to! (For any photographers wanting to do the same: bedroom light is best in the morning and living room light is best in the afternoon.) Parking was not very far at all, and we had four or five cars that we parked with no issues, including one highly visible bright green Jeep. My sister was worried about the neighborhood, but we felt very safe: there were valet attendance in front of the hotel next-door and every time a car pulled up in front of the unit. They asked if they were there for the VRBO. They also watched the cars for us while we took our stuff upstairs and brought it all back down. 10/10 would do this again!

Hello, and thank you for considering a stay at The Historic Lyric Cincinnati! I'm Josh, your guide and host during your visit to this beautiful and historic part of Cincinnati. Why they chose this property

Centrally located to everything downtown Cincinnati!

What makes this property unique

Nestled in the heart of downtown Cincinnati, the Lyric Piano Building at 632 Race Street is a cornerstone of the city’s rich cultural and architectural history. Built in 1919, the building originally housed the Lyric Piano Co., a subsidiary of the world-renowned Ralph Wurlitzer Co., famous for its pianos and organs. The Lyric Piano Co. operated here during a golden era for music and craftsmanship, offering finely made pianos from 1909 to 1937.

The building’s story reflects the challenges of the times, as the Great Depression led to the closure of the Lyric Piano Co. in 1937. However, the structure continued to play a vital role in Cincinnati’s commercial scene, adapting to the evolving landscape. In the 1950s, it became home to a dressmaker, further embedding itself into the city’s thriving business district.

From the 1970s through the 1990s, the Lyric Piano Building entered yet another chapter, serving as a hub for various restaurants. The most recent restaurant tenant, Hardee’s, operated here, marking the building's participation in Cincinnati’s urban revitalization during this period.

Today, the Lyric Piano Building stands as a testament to Cincinnati’s enduring legacy of commerce, culture, and adaptive reuse. Its rich history as a piano showroom, fashion center, and dining destination continues to resonate, making it a unique and vibrant part of the city’s heritage.
