Matt and Kelly were excellent hosts. The house was in perfect condition. Clean and organized, to satisfy our every need. This is our second time staying there and hope to stay there again in the future.
Beautiful cabin. Very private, peaceful location. Everything was in great condition and very clean. Comfortable beds. Home was dog friendly. Had a nice deck off the back of the home. Didn’t get to enjoy it because of the weather though. Highly recommend.
We loved the cabin. It was beautifully decorated, especially for Christmas. I hope we started a family tradition. I loved having all my kids and granddaughter together for a few days.
The home is spacious, nicely decorated and well organized with extra bedding available. There is one shower and a soaking tub with jets. The porch and deck are inviting places to sit and watch nature. The pond is lovely as well.
Came here with my family (9 of us) for a weekend. It was incredible. Matt offers just about everything you need and more to have a great time. The lake view is amazing! I reccomend this place 100%
The cabin is spacious, beautiful and practical. The pond is the best place to relax and frolic.
If your coming from the Philadelphia area, it’s a great place to escape to without much travel time. Also, you can bring your pet!
Very nice stay. Cabin had everything you would need. Nice small pond with kayaks and canoe, and large beautiful garden. Owners were very friendly and responsive. Only minor drawbacks are the fact that there is only one shower and the skeet/shooting range nearby made some noise. Will be back!
Negatives: The Vrbo listing mentioned privacy, but the owners were frequently near the property, with their truck and dogs visiting often. There were a couple visits during our stay. Trash from previous guests remained in the can, and although the owner said they’d remove it the first night due to trash day, it stayed for all four days. The fireplace wood wasn’t stocked, and when we requested wood, we received wet logs that were unusable. While there are two bathrooms, only one has a shower (we made it work though).
Positives: The cabin was clean and well-organized upon arrival, though we couldn’t find a broom. The location was convenient, close to vineyards and stores, and we enjoyed the lake. Despite the proximity, the owners’ dogs were very sweet.
Overall, the home was nice, but privacy issues were a concern for our group.
5 couples stayed for a wedding in the area. We had an absolute blast. The house was large enough for all and we certainly enjoyed the back deck and bonfire pit. The only thing we lacked was a second shower… which was certainly needed with such a large group. Thanks again for your hospitality!
Great location, great privacy, comfortable residence
Very nice, we called the property owner about a minor issue on a Sunday evening and she was right on it and took care of our concerns. Very friendly and accommodating.
6 long time friends basically drank, ate, fished, played corn hole, played pool, fell into pond while fishing on canoe, laughed and listened to motley crew! Only problem was we all had hang overs!! Doesn’t get much better. Place is great and never disappoints. This was my 3rd time renting house and can’t wait to go back and do it all again.
My family and I stayed at the cabin recently. It was AMAZING! I kept commenting all week how much better the place was than what the description stated. Kelly was so great with answering all of our questions. The cabin was so clean, and it had everything we needed. All of the seating in the kitchen was so awesome and the spiral staircase was beautiful. We are definitely planning on coming back next year with more people. We LOVED this vacation so much. Thank you to the Hannah’s for this perfect getaway!
Thanks for the excellent weekend Matt & family! The house was a great fit for us and the property was fantastic! Really nice setup you all have.
- The house fit a bunch of grown men pretty comfortably, with sharing beds
- There is only 1 shower in the house but we made it work and it wasn't an issue at all
- The accommodations Matt & family provide were excellent: stocked firewood with a beautiful fire pit area, yard games, an extra large flat-top grill, and even access to their unfinished barn which had ping pong, billiards and pinball (which was a great hangout space on a rainy night)
- Matt stopped by a bit after we started arriving to give us a lay of the land and open up the barn for us; communication was a breeze (we needed an extra trashcan outside and a quick text later it was brought over)
- The pond was beautiful (and swimmable; not very deep); we brought some inflatable tubes and made great use of them; there is not a proper beach entrance to the pond for access and was a bit slippery and moderately steep (however, it was easy enough for us to get in and out)
- You'll hear some dogs barking from across the lake at the host's property and the gun range off in the distance, but that didn't bother us.
- Oxford, PA was ~10m drive and had grocery, beer, liquor, pizza etc.
- We look forward to finding another excuse to book this property again!
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this home that is situated out in the rolling green hills of Chester County.
We found the home to be very well appointed interns of kitchen supplies, lots of outdoor games, a beautiful lake and a spacious deck for people to mingle.
My family is musical which meant that evening were spent at the fire pit with guitar and voices. We did John Prine proud.
Lovely home in a beautiful location.
We were looking for a private getaway to enjoy a laid back family vacation. This house and location was ideal. The house is nicer in person than the photos show. I just loved it. There was plenty of linens and everything you would need in the kitchen. The owner was very prompt with my request for an extra garbage can too. I would definitely recommend this
house.
Very comfortable, quiet, and all we were looking for.
We loved having our Leadership Team Mastermind event here. It was quiet, peaceful, the beautiful night sounds coming from the pond was everyone's delight. Loved all the pots, pans and tools in the kitchen! Thank you.

About the host
Hosted by Matt Hanna
Our family has been lucky enough to call this our home for the last 22 years. I am from the suburbs of Philly and my wife was born & raised in the city. We just love the simpler life of our property/area. My wife runs a dog boarding/grooming facility on our property. We have 2 grown boys and a few furry friends as well. We love hosting our cabin. We love watching family & friends gather & be able to enjoy our little slice of heaven too.
Why they chose this property
Our property has a "wow factor"... You pull in and the scenery is just beautiful. The cabin has a "zen" type appeal and you can't help but to relax when you arrive. The pond, trees, and landscape instantly help you unwind from the outside world.
What makes this property unique
Having 24 acres means guests aren’t just renting a cabin - they are renting a private nature retreat. No neighbors nearby, quiet mornings, space to explore & disconnect from busy life, catch and release fishing, kayaking, wildlife sightings, & more.
