This is a working cattle ranch where Tennessee Walking Horses are raised and trained. The owners, Thomas and Ilse Ketelsen, were both born and raised on farms in Germany. They moved their family to Quebec, Canada in 1987, and to Rossburn, MB in 2002. 9 Finger Ranch owns 1,100 acres and is located north of Rossburn. Their animals consists of 60 Black Angus cows (and their calves in summer), over 30 Tennessee Walking horses, and 3 dogs. Son Ray joins the business part-time, working still as cowboy aside. Both Thomas and Ray are licensed guides for the Riding Mountain National Park. The ranch is run as natural as possible; owners and staff care about the cowboy way of doing things.
