Scenic Sica Hollow is located just a 15 minute drive down the road. Three golf courses are in the area with a 9 hole course 3 miles down the road and two 18 hole courses within 15 minutes. In the fall enjoy sport hunting for waterfowl, upland game and deer. If you like snowmobiling or ice fishing you're in the right place. For the hunters we have heated kennels. For the young at heart enjoy the basketball court and the tree house. Boat ramps, recreation area and beaches are just a couple blocks away. The cabin was spacious and well stocked with everything you would need. It was very clean and the furniture was comfortable. The host lives right next door so they were responsive when we had questions. I would definitely stay there again when I come back to visit the area. I highly recommend it.

The views of the lake are great, and the location to the state park is so convenient. The kitchen could use some plastic cups (for kids to use) but the house is kid friendly otherwise. We wanted to use the playhouse but it was having issues at the time, however we stayed busy with the BB hoop, the hammock, and the lake was too close to miss much else!

The place is exactly as it is pictured. The lake was right down the street with a decent beach. A lodge to fish at and camp ground just down the road as well. There is a small hiking trail near by. Closest town is about 25 miles away so running for food is a little bit of pain. The cons are: the oven does not cook well. One side cooks better than the other and it does not get hot well so cook times double. Plus it has a propane smell when it starts up. The washing machine also leaves lint material all over the clothes. The house could use some updating and it would be nice if there was a place out back to sit and relax.

We appreciate the review. We are in the process of having the oven looked at and will take necessary intervention. While we have had no issues with the laundry facilities we will service the washing machine. The majority of the house was updated two years ago with the exception of the kitchen cabinets. Great location for fishing and outdoor sorts

House is located just outside Roy Lake state park with a nice view of the north boat ramp and swim beach. Location puts you within short drive to over 15 lakes with good to excellent fishing.House amenities allowed us to prepare meals, take care of laundry, park and service our boat, and relax. A state fish cleaning station is with 1/4 mile to make that processes easier as well. The location of this house would be ideal for the fishing and hunting seasons. Special thanks to the owner who greeted us and gave us good local information. Will definitely be booking future stays.

This rental was excellent. The amenities were even better than expected and had many personal touches. The supplies exceeded my expectations. The host was so personable and quickly responded to a few questions that I had. The Roy Lake setting was relaxing and there was so much to do for kids and adults. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing get away!

Wonderful VRBO to stay at - very clean, comfortable and inviting. The perfect location is convenient to Roy Lake State Park. The property grounds were well maintained with a big back yard to play and relax in. We enjoyed viewing the Milky Way, saw wildlife and hundreds of fireflies! Owners were immediately responsive to any questions. The house is more spacious than it appears in the pictures - plenty of room for everyone without feeling crowded. We would highly recommend this VRBO to everyone.

There are only 4 homes on this tract of land above the lake. Sprawling in front are twenty acres of prairie grass between the houses and the lake. There is a abundance of wildlife. Depending on the time of year you will see deer, ducks, geese, pheasants, wild turkeys and much more.
