Our family used this property for an after wedding gathering. It was perfect! Very comfortable, well equipped, and the setting on Lake Travis is unparalleled! Would go back again in a heartbeat!

Great stay at the castle. Plenty of room for 6 adults, 1 baby and 1 dog. Plenty of fans for the rooms. Huge kitchen and island bar, perfect for breakfast and dinner seating. we used the outside propane grills, fully stocked with all you need to BBQ. Views were spectacular. Jeff has an amazing movie collection, lots of classics.

Volente Castle is great place to stay! The property has tons of character and is in a great location. The beds are all very comfortable and there is lots of room to spread out. The house has everything you could need, but there are also options nearby for dining and entertainment if you want to venture out. The hosts living on property is reassuring and convenient should you need anything too!

The castle has so much character inside! All the rooms have such fun decoration and so much history to see. The views from all the balconies were beautiful. The kitchen was fully stocked, and we had enough silverware, plates, etc. for the 13 people in our group. There are many options for the lake. We borrowed some of the floaties and kayaks to enjoy the water. Jeff met us outside during check in and gave us a full house tour. We also loved all the board game options, which we played at night after dinner. Highly recommend this place for a large group gathering. My family had the best weekend there!

This is a great place to stay. We had a ton of fun walking to the local restaurant down the tree lined street and enjoyed the beautiful lake views. We swam off of the dock with the provided float chair and mats. The house is very clean and the views are incredible. The host was very nice and everything we needed was provided.

Great location on the water of lake Travis. Excellent views. Felt very private, even with owner next door and Tennant downstairs. Note, a few groups came though the property, to the dock for boat excursions. Very entertaining property for family with teens and dog. Owner had 2 dogs that were nice.

The house was perfect for our group of 9. We swam off the dock, fished, rode jet skis and rented a boat for the day. Had the best time with family. The house had plenty of room and our grand kids loved looking at all the cool little Knick knacks in the house. Great views from all the decks. Jeff, the host, is great to work with and communicates quickly. Took care of us and ensured we had a good time and everything we needed. Our second time staying here and can’t wait to come back!!!

THE VIEW AND AMEDITIES WERE GREAT, MANY NICE BEDS, MANY WATER CRAFTS TO USE, QUITE A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE AT THIS CASTLE. WE WOULD RENT AGAIN, BUT SOME SMALL ISSUES LIKE ALL OF THE OUTSIDE GRILLS DID NOT WORK AND WERE RUSTED, SHORT ON FORKS, SO HAD TO HAND WASH MANY TIMES (NOT REALLY A BIG DEAL). OVERALL, IT WAS A FUN PLACE FOR THE WEEKEND.

After reading your concerns, I went and double checked on your concerns. I had the the cleaning crew checked the amount of metal forks. They counted 57 forks in top drawer extra and in the drawer below. I tested both grills, they both lighted as they should, one was low on propane, During the tour I informed you had nine 9 full bottles up by the green shed. I also have a Benzo-matic torch to light the grills or other things you want to catch on fire. You had multiple guests come swim, you did not pay for the extra guests that came or informed me before you left. As said on the tour, there will be someone to help you 24/7 with any issue, and respond in minutes. You never called or text with any issue.

View of the lake and "snake island" was superb. Jeff went over and above, spending 20 minutes touring the spacioushome and grounds upon check-in.Alot of fun things for the 16-25 kid age range... instruments, games, telescopes and room to wander (600' of lake frontage to explore). Place sleeps 2x the # we had (8). Only regret is not being too busy elsewhere in Austin to spend more time at the castle.

The castle was a perfect spot on the lake to enjoy a weekend with the guys. The house is very unique and filled with history in every room. We enjoyed using all the great amenities this place has to offer. Jeff was a great host who was available and accommodating whenever we needed him. We would love to come back for another stay.

Fun weekend in the Castle

Great spot for a weekend with friends on Lake Travis. Jeff was responsive and helpful during our stay.

David booked the Castle without telling me it was a bachelor party. They left a mess that my cleaning crew charge me extra . They told me they knew how to drive a boat first thing they did was drive it into my dock an put a huge dent in it. They called saying they did not know how to start my jetski which I found out a bunch guys picked it up off the lift and threw in the water backwards and flooded my the electronics. The jetski weighs over 800 pounds. Costing me $500 to reset the control computer. They did not know how to operate the jetski up and down lift. How were they going to get back on the lift? A Seadoo GTX weighs approx 800 pounds. They were not suppose to touch it until they called me to rented it and knew how to operate it. They did not, I did not charge them for any of the damage. I thought they were going to be responsible professional young men, I was sadly disappointed. I gave him a 5 Stars rating to be nice and he gave me 4 Stars. I lost money due to their stay. VRBO needs to reconsider the rating system
