We made wonderful family memories. Very spacious. This house has so much potential. However, cleaning crew gave minimal cleaning effort. Upon opening the door when we arrived, we walked into gum on the floor. Bathrooms had pee on the seat and around the base of the toilet. Bed sheets needed washed. They were not clean when we arrived. When we used the washer to wash the sheets, they came out covered in black Sulphur residue. Refrigerator leaks water. Hot tub never did work. We made the best of it, as we had no choice. The toilets are disgustingly stained. No effort to remove stains. I live with well water and know that the stains can be removed, with effort!

The cabin smells overwhelmingly like septic. The water did not work first day. The hot water and heat did not work second day. There wasn’t enough room for trash and it’s a 30 min round trip to get rid of your trash at office. The cabin must of sat abandoned before our arrival. We had to contact Vrbo to have water and heat fixed. We did not drink or cook with water bc filter they pulled out looked disgusting and the chemical tank was empty. The hot tub was unusable. The owner never contacted us.

I was so excited to take my family here for a fall break vacation. We were not told that only 2 of the rooms were actually private rooms. All rooms in basement either do not have a door or has an open closet between 2 rooms, no privacy for multiple couples to go with you (done like this to meet code because all rooms must have a window to exit in case of fire). Hot tub was leaking and broken. Master bath doors are pantry doors and you must grab underneath the bottom of the door to close them. Water pressure and temperature was not great. If you have multiple showers to be taken, we recommend spreading them out or some taken at night and some in AM. Water is not hooked to the fridge so no ice nor filtered water. Front door lock never worked the entire time we were there, back door worked fine. Never found an extra trash bag and reached out to host, no response. Something died in the laundry room or behind the wall either right before we got there or during the first day, did not leave doors open. Reached out to host with no response. This place could really be a great place but it definitely needs some things changed to be accurate with the listing. Also, be careful going up to loft area, there is a sign on the way down to tell you to watch your head but they need one on the way up as well. My mom almost knocked herself out when going up.

Why they chose this property

There’s something about the Great Smoky Mountains that stays with you long after you leave—the mist rolling through the valleys, the peace of nature, and the feeling that time slows down just enough to breathe. Staying at our cabin lets you experience that magic up close, with the comfort and privacy of a place that feels like home.
Whether you’re sipping coffee while the mountains wake up, spending your days exploring scenic trails, or you're exhausted after a day at Dollywood with the kids, this cabin offers the perfect balance of relaxation, rejuvenation, and adventure. You’re close enough to enjoy everything the Smokies have to offer—Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the national park—yet far enough away to enjoy peaceful nights and unforgettable views.
This cabin is more than just a place to stay—it’s a place to make memories that will bring you back to some of your most precious memories again and again.

What makes this property unique

This home is in the heart of the "Glades", known as the arts and crafts community.
