Prime location variety of restaurants within walking distance. Hiking, Capitola, Santa Cruz and Monterey all just a short drive away. House was amazing very cozy and friendly neighborhood. Our teen kids loved walking to the beach daily. I would highly recommend this location, especially for bigger families.

Phenomenal!There’s no other words for this. If you know, Aptos at all, you know that this is the right place to stay. This house is beautiful, very clean, well appointed, and great for a family. Everything you need is here, both inside and out. Seacliff area is great, beach access is perfect for families and the house is so perfect. Thank you for inviting us to stay in your great home !

The house is nice, it is equipped with everything you will need. Great area to stay! Short walk to the beach. Lots of food and shopping nearby. You can see the ocean from the patio.The neighborhood is quiet and friendly.

Host was very responsive. Good location and comfortable beds. Great set up for families, even had a baby gate for the top of the stairs. Short walk through the neighborhood to the stairs that take you down to the ocean. Only downside (hence the 4 stars) was some ants in the house and the bbq did not work properly. There was ant spray but with a baby and a toddler, we chose not to use it. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Our family had a fantastic time at this lovely home! Kitchen was very well stocked and we were able to cook several meals with no issues. It was nice and clean upon our arrival and the host was extremely responsive anytime we needed something. Beds were comfortable, love the gated backyard for our dog to use and a short walk to the beach access. We loved being able to walk a short distance to several restaurants and a very yummy ice cream shop. Larger supermarket just on the other side of the highway plus lots more restaurants in that area as well. We would absolutely love to come back! Note for anyone who has not been to Aptos before: the beach access is a trail with quite a few stairs, but it has railings and a few places you could pause along the way for a beautiful view. If you are wanting a different way to access the beach you could drive to the Seacliff day use area for a fee and either park right next to the beach (if you're early enough) or park in the larger lot and have a walk down with fewer steps.

A Rose by any other name...

Wonderful house, well furnished and clean, a short drive to just about anywhere you'd want to go, and a mere 5 minute walk to the beach down a lovely well maintained path. Mark was very responsive to any questions we had, we'd recommend the "Rose" to anyone!

The house was great EXCEPT for the rather steep, bare wood stairs leading from the front entrance up to the kitchen. This was difficult as we are senior citizens, and carrying all of our stuff up those stairs was a challenge! Even our older dog couldn't manage them. She ended up staying down by the front door the entire time we were there. AND renters should also be aware that the beach IS very nearby but getting there also involves many steps up and down a bluff...or you can pay 9 and drive down to the beach.

We had a great time in Aptos at Mark’s! The house is lovely and exactly as described online. Beach access is within walking distance, although stairs and a long path are involved. You can drive 5 min to Seacliff beach and park in lower lot for easy access, however. The house itself is set up nicely for families or friends with the primary bedroom on main top floor, other bedrooms downstairs. Kitchen is well equipped. Even had coffee ready to go! We enjoyed the bbq as well. Being dog friendly was a big plus! We are seniors and there are a lot of stairs…a bit challenging bringing luggage and groceries up. Our dog was a bit hesitant with them too. All in all we would love to come back! Thank you to Mark for being very responsive when I had questions :-)
