Welcome to our beautiful Buena Vista cabin! Nestled in between stunning mountain peaks, our cabin is the ultimate Colorado vacation getaway. Whether you’re traveling out to enjoy the mild summers or are planning to partake in winter sports, vacationing here puts you in the best location to enjoy all that this area has to offer.

Located not far from Buena Vista’s famous Elephant Rock and Midland Railroad Tunnels, the cabin is conveniently located to state park hiking/biking trails and is only a quarter of a mile away from access to the Arkansas River (for kayak-launching, fishing, and panning for gold). It’s a short drive into downtown Buena Vista, where you can enjoy shopping, amazing food, live entertainment, or fun at the downtown river park.

When you get tired of being out and about, the cabin is a wonderful place to kick back and relax. Make a nice dinner and eat by a glowing fire in the river rock fireplace. Sit on the porch and feel the mountain sunshine. Relax in the upstairs loft, look for wildlife, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Collegiate Peaks. Get a good night’s sleep in one of the two comfortable bedrooms. After a hot shower the next morning, you’ll be ready to set out for new adventures!

Perfect Quiet Getaway

This property was great - quiet, amazing views and well stocked for every comfort. We enjoyed watching thunderstorms roll in over the collegiate peaks, birding (right in the backyard!), and all the local hikes nearby. Great location to outdoor activities, town, and great access to the Arkansas River nearby. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

This cabin is cozy, secluded and yet close to all BV has to offer. The host was responsive and caring. The bed was super comfortable and the area was dark and quiet - perfect for good rest. There is a super view of Mt Princeton from upstairs.

Cozy little place in a beautiful are of BV

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend here in Buena vista. Having this place to come back to and live out of was great. The floors took about a day to finally warm up but that would be our only complaint which in my opinion is very minimal. We enjoyed the board games, WiFi, outdoors, fire pit and great views.

Perfect and exactly what we wanted for our family get away to a Colorado Cabin. We were familiar with BV and this cabin location was ideal for peace and quiet. We chilled, enjoyed the fireplace and detached for a few evenings after skiing powder at Monarch. Highly recommend if you are looking for great views and a peaceful setting

Great BV getaway

Mara and her place were great, she contacted me before check in to let us know we could check in early if needed. The property was better than the pictures portrayed, plenty of space for four adults and a baby. Outdoor space is excellent and watching the sunset is top notch. The living room on the top floor has killer views of Princeton. We’d definitely stay here again.

Love this cabin in the mountains

We have been going to Buena Vista for years and have rented many a cabin but his one is exceptional. We especially like the wrap around porch with amazing mountain views. It has 2 nice size bedrooms on the bottom floor with a large TV/game room and extra bed upstairs. The kitchen provided everything we needed. Great location outside of town. We will be back soon.

Great house Great host

We stay in the Buena Vista area every August. This home is far enough away from town that you don’t hear traffic or neighbors, but very centrally located for all the activities. Mara was a super host. She checked in with me while we were on our way up and again during our visit. The house was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. Very well stocked for making meals. We particularly enjoyed the wrap around porch. We will definitely be making a return trip to this property.

Nice cabin

We enjoyed staying at this location. The view from upstairs loft is amazing. The only complaint is the layout of the house. Very small kitchen area as well as not good lighting downstairs. Lack of bathroom room upstairs requires the person sleeping upstairs to come down for bathroom. But overall is a nice place and very secluded.
