Never received access key to get in the property

Never received access key to get in the property, tried to reach host and couldn't. Reached out to VRBO via chat since we were on vacation and I didn't have my computer nor did the 800 # provide us anyone to physically talk to anyone. We chatted for an hour and a half to get no where. Talked to neighbors trying to get information for the host to no avail. Drove from NC to Alabama to have no were to stay. I received an email 3 days prior to my stay and it said that I would receive an access code on the day of my reservation. I never received anything.
