About the property

Very close to the beach and one of the closest villas to Inn at Loreto bay

This beach view 'Casa Chica' villa FN266 with tower is the closest villa to the beach in the founders neighborhood. it is a long sandy beach in tranquil Loreto Bay and is positioned perfectly between the Sierra de la Giganta mountains and the Sea of Cortez. The third floor viewing tower has great water and mountain views. There is 1500 square feet of indoor/outdoor living space, within this walled adobe Villa. The property sleeps up to 6 guests in 2 master bedroom suites and has 2 bathrooms. It has a pull out sofa bed in the living room. It takes only a short direct flight from Los Angeles (LAX) and a 10 minute taxi ride from the Loreto airport (LTO).

We have 2 BIKES for you to use at this villa! Perfect for getting around.

It is one of the closest villas only a few minutes walk to the Inn at Loreto Bay, 4 restaurants, 2 coffee shops, car rental, sport equipment rental and excursion trip office. Loreto Bay is unique and extremely quiet with few roads for cars...most people travel by foot or golf carts on the European style walking paths between the homes- it is extremely peaceful and private.

The magnificent Sea of Cortes and National Marine Park Islands are a dramatic vision from sunrise to sunset.

Enjoy a happy hour cocktail in the tower or while using the outdoor cooking area and enjoy the beach sounds because of the quiet nature of this unique setting.

The open design of the villa features a master bedroom on the main level with a large bathroom including a extra large soaker tub and a large walk in shower. The main floor also has an open plan kitchen, a large dining room table that seats 8, and a living room area with a large flat screen tv and leather couch. It has french double doors leading to an enclosed outdoor patio garden with fountain.

There is a laundry room with a washer, dryer and room for storage.

There is a second large master bedroom on the second floor accessed off the garden. The private master suite on the second floor has a king sized bed. It also has a TV and a DVD player, air conditioning and ceiling fan. The ensuite has a shower and double sinks.

The second level also has an outdoor cook area, outdoor sink, BBQ and a four person dining table. it also has two chaise lounge chairs. The Third level tower also has a dining table with four chairs.

Loreto Bay boasts warm weather and endless summer days- 300 a year- rain is very rare. Loreto Bay National Marine Park is a protected area that stretches from Coronado Island in the north to Santa Catalina Island in the south. Small flat bottom boats take visitors on snorkel trips and sightseeing excursions, where views can include sea lions, bottle nose dolphins, a variety of colorful fish and, during winter and spring many species of whales.

The Loreto Airport is only 5 miles away. Three miles further is the town of Loreto with many places to eat and see. There is a free taxi service to Loreto and back on Friday and Saturday nights if you go to a restaurant that is a member of the restaurant association.

There is a 18 hole 'David Duval signature golf course' in Loreto Bay. The golf is $70 per round plus $30 for a power cart. The course also offers unlimited golfing for 30 days for $240.00. So, if you love to golf this is the place to be- you can golf 3 times a day if you want!

Imagine.. steps to the beach and the golf course right around the corner.

Guestbook comments from the manager

The casita was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with two wonderful outdoor spaces that afforded views of the nearby ocean. I'd definitely stay there again.

Gorgeous house, gorgeous views

  • 5 of 5

We had a short but enjoyable stay at the house. It was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. The water in the Bay is pretty cold for swimming but we enjoyed poking around the huge headland on the beach and had a fabulous full day kayaking trip to Danzante.

Even better than the pictures!!!

  • 5 of 5

I have never before had the experience of finding reality to be even better than the photos. Megan's place is absolutely beautiful - every detail is perfect. It is well appointed, esthetically pleasing , comfortable, and quiet. Loreto Bay itself was also beautiful. We spent our 10 days hanging out at home, going to all of the pools, and venturing out into the beautiful surroundings. The mountains are spectacular- side trips are not to be missed. Our boating day was truly a highlight- the sea lion colony, the breathtaking beaches of Isla Coronado, and especially the hundred or so dolphins we encountered on our way home. They swam with us, under us, beside and behind us for 15 minutes or so. So fun! We also loved the town of Loreto. We went there for dinner most nights. Had some great food. Highly recommend the whole scene.

Awesome choice in Loreto!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this gorgeous unit for 3 nights in October and what a treat it was! The owner was easy to work with and very responsive. The reservation process was simple and efficient; and I was very impressed with the detailed information that I received regarding the property and the area prior to our arrival.

The unit itself is beautifully maintained and extremely comfortable. It felt as though it was brand new. Bathrooms impeccable, beds thick with quality linens and all the creature comforts that you'd want on vacation (fast internet, plenty of cooking utensils, even bikes were provided for our use).

The development (Loreto Bay) is really gorgeous as well. The unit is located towards the end of a series of stone walkways that meander through gardens and fountains. It definitely has the look and feel of being in a perfectly kept village. The beach was also a short walk too. Security guards were present but discreet; and the grounds were beautifully maintained.

All in all, an experience I will definitely repeat!

Everything and more....

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from a relaxing vacation in this beautiful Loreto Bay villa. While the weather in July was a bit on the HOT side, the accomodations were everything we had hoped for and more. Well maintained and complete with every kitchen or bathroom item (including hair dryers and make-up mirrors) one could possibly need. The access to the beach and surrounding amenities couldn't have been more perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa. The ONLY two drawbacks: weather - don't go in the mid to late summer months; the heat is oppressive AND the bar-type dining table and chairs were difficult for my friend, who is SHORT and a little chubby. Otherwise - a perfect vacation.

Best Vacation EVER

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I returned yesterday from 11 days in Nopolo. We had the most amazing vacation. The location of this villa is absolutely perfect: close to the water and the shack with water sport rentals, close to the pools, close to the wine bar, close to the Paseo, close to the hotel. The photos are a great representation, although the landscaping around the unit is more lush now (lush = better). We absolutely loved the viewing tower and ate breakfast there almost every morning. The pictures show the view, and the picture that seems zoomed in is closer to what the view really looks like in person. Our first morning there we caught a beautiful, nearly simultaneous sunrise and moonset. This place is truly magical. We loved having the bikes and rode them all over. The owner and property manager were both great, answering all of my questions before we came down and checking in to ensure everything was going well while we were there. Julio even brought us a nice bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary. We met great people, some visitors like us, some owners, and some locals (you MUST meet Jorje, who runs the rental shack on the beach). I have never been more sad for a vacation to be over! It felt as if we were leaving summer camp.

We loved Agave, a restaurant in the neighborhood, and especially enjoyed their 2 for 1 margaritas. We also loved the restaurant Sabor, which is between the airport and Loreto. Great food and service, our best meal while we were there. There's a place south that everyone calls the Clam Shack. I don't know it's real name, but it was very good with a fantastic view.

We will most definitely be returning, and would not hesitate to rent this unit again. Loreto is definitely NOT a Cabo or Puerto Vallarta. It is a quiet village that I would call the opposite of a time share. People own their homes there and rent them out. There are no people constantly trying to sell you a time share, no beach peddlers trying to sell you junk, just a beautiful, peaceful environment with great people. I want to go back NOW and we just got home last night!

Thanksgiving get-a-way

  • 5 of 5

What a great villa! Perfect size for our family of 4. Our teenagers were able to wander around town and go to the beach, while mom and dad enjoyed quiet time and fab views in the patio "tower". The full size kitchen kept everyone happy, and the management people were so friendly and were great with helping organize a fishing trip and also a couple of trips to town. Even the cleaning ladies were wonderful and so nice.
