10 minute walk to Fenway Park. Free parking. Beautiful area to walk around. The room is very old, so the interior is not the best looking, but it had everything we needed to enjoy a weekend in Boston. The hosts communicated well and were very nice.

Place was clean, but run down. Electrical issues, could cause fire, but host very responsive and changed bulbs so all the lamps could be used. Linens, kitchen, bathroom etc. was clean, location to BU was very good and free parking a great bonus. I would stay again.

Amazing location for the price. Check-in was super easy with clear instructions. Free parking was such a great perk for Boston. As for the house, despite a few visual damages (and 2 lightbulbs for the lamps not working), there was not much to complain about. Would recommend

Overall, we enjoyed this day, though it isn’t perfect. The area is safe and easy walking to the train and other places in the city. But the building itself is loud at night with mechanical noises and has lots of deferred maintenance like peeling paint from water damage and the door doesn’t seat very well. It was amazing to have the parking space for a car because we needed to drive out of town. But the car you bring needs to be small because the parking spaces are tight.

Great place short walk to Fenway

Property manager helped make our stay more enjoyable, Communication was spot on. Loved the place as we hit a few Sox games. Restaurants and coffee nearby too. Hope to stay here again.

Instructions to park and access the apartment were simple and straightforward. It would help to know in the welcome message that it's easier to bring luggage in from the back of the building, as the apartment is across from the back door. (We took some luggage through the front and down the stairs at first) The space was clean, and the air conditioner was fantastic for our two days of 85-90 weather.The ceiling has some water damage from a leak (most likely from the above tenant) it's superficial, and we weren't bothered by the look. I did, however, travel with an electrician who took the opportunity to cap the exposed wires from the main light fixture as they were exposed, live, and hot. (Who knew if the next guests would be smart enough not to touch it). Laundry is 3 per load in coin op machines just outside the apartment door. We walked to fenway multiple times, within 15 minutes, and doordashed multiple orders without issue.Would stay again!

This stay overall was a great value for the money. Its location was perfect for us. However, be aware it is more of a "budget" stay. The laundry was communal coin operated in the basement, not private in-unit. The host was very responsive and provided coins for us. Unfortunately the washers were not in the best shape. I think the unit is currently undergoing some renovations so there was missing light fixtures in the unit. Ceiling sort of falling apart by leaky window. The door was very hard to deadbolt - we had to sort of pull up on the doorknob to lift the door. Lastly, I think we were next to the boiler room. The last 3 days of our stay, the apartment was 80. The walls were warm to the touch. Linens and towels were clean and great. Fridge was clean. Host was very responsive. Building was quiet and area seemed very safe, even on opening day at Fenway. Super close to a subway stop.

Very convenient location in quiet neighborhood

We stayed for our son's graduation from Berklee College of Music. The location was very convenient for us, especially with the T Green line a couple of blocks away. The parking spot in the back was a huge bonus since street parking is scarce. My wife's only suggestion was for a mirror in the bedroom since there is only one bathroom when getting ready to go out.

Check-in was easy and as directed. It was great to have a parking space out back. I wish I had known that it was easier to get into the basement apartment from the back parking lot, rather than bringing everything in from the front door. It is a basement apartment with no outside light. Ceiling lights don’t work so you get the light from floor lamps. We were able to check in an hour early, but it was on a whim that I tried since I had emailed, messaged and tried calling the host multiple times prior to arriving and never received any contact back from them. There was less than one roll of toilet paper in the apartment so I did have to buy more. The washers and dryers are coin operated, but the host did leave quarters for that purpose. The washer and dryers were right next to the entrance to the apartment so it was convenient. The apartment did appear clean. I wish I had known ahead of time that there are two rollout twin beds. I would like to have used one of them, but the host never responded when she asked the question if I needed it so the bed was not made and I’m not sure there were extra sheets there. They only supply one towel and one washcloth per person so I would recommend bringing extras unless you plan on doing laundry regularly. The location was excellent for attending Boston University graduation. It would be a great location for a Red Sox game as well. It is easy to catch the train at Kenmore Square. I would not stay in a basement apartment again.

We were disappointed. We booked weeks before our stay and had some questions for the host. He never responded to those messages. The phone number provided for him said leave a message, but his mailbox was always full. We wanted verification on the number of beds and where they were located. It turned out that there was a queen bed and a twin bed in the bedroom. In the other room (small kitchen with a high table and 4 chairs and a couch), there was a 2nd twin bed. We needed the 2nd twin bed, but it definitely didn’t fit well in the kitchen, leaving little walk space and no access to the couch. On check-in day, we finally got communication and they allowed us to place our bags inside and use the parking space, which was appreciated (but we were scolded for keeping the key while we did this, instead of immediately putting it back in the lockbox). The ceiling lights flickered badly and we then saw a note taped to the wall to not use them. That’s a fire hazard that should be corrected immediately. The paint on the bedroom ceiling was peeling and hanging down. Giving it 2 stars because the bathroom, the sheets & towels and the kitchen were clean, parking was provided and it was a 5 min walk to Fenway park. But I won’t stay here again.

This was my first time using Vrbo, and it will most likely be my last.From the poor communication and the lack of support from customer service—I called multiple times and got nowhere—to finally arriving at an apartment with serious safety and maintenance issues, the entire experience was extremely disappointing.The exterior door to the building was broken and wouldn't latch properly. The interior door deadbolt didn't line up, making it difficult or impossible to lock securely, and the secondary security chain was missing altogether.The peeling ceiling and shady lights throughout were also red flags. The only thing decent about the place what the clean bathroom and free salt water taffy. The biggest issue, however, was the unbelievable rat infestation. Yes, rats—lots of them. The parking area behind the building was overrun with rats, and because the exterior door leading to the basement apartment wouldn't close or latch, they could come and go freely.We were so disgusted by the condition of the property that we didn't even stay in the apartment. I would not recommend this property, and based on this experience, I'm very hesitant to use Vrbo again. I thought I got a photo of the broken exterior door, but I must not have. I was trying to scare the rats away, so me and my kids could get out!!
