Nauvoo Reunion

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our Nauvoo reunion very much. We had plenty to do in the area - the LDS church has made learning about history fun. We enjoyed wagon rides, blacksmith demonstrations, and a play at the old Nauvoo Theater. We did some small trips over to Carthage, Illinois - great Mexican restaurant there, and Hannibal, MO for a Riverboat cruise on the Mississippi.

The house was big, with a bathroom (almost) for each person:-) It was great to be in the same house with our whole family. The house was very nicely appointed for our needs. The kitchen was easy to cook in, but you definitely had to bring in your own groceries from out of town. The closest grocery store is about 20 miles away. So you will want to plan a menu and have a grocery list for your trip into town.

It was a very enjoyable time and we wish we could have extended our stay even longer. The house was a perfect location for a family reunion with nice suites and big social gathering rooms. It was great!

Perfect Accommodations for A Large Group

  • 5 of 5

This house met our needs perfectly while our group of 18 stayed in Nauvoo. There are plenty of bedrooms and plenty of beds. I was hoping that it was within walking of the Nauvoo Temple and the LDS church historic sites in Nauvoo, but it was just far enough away that we had to drive. But it was only a five minute drive, or less. The house was clean and well supplied. The only complaint I have was that there were no lamps in the bedrooms on the nightstands - there was only overhead lighting in the bedrooms. It would be nice to have lamps to read by at night. But other than that, this house met our needs in every way and we would stay here again.

convenient, clean, and great for large group

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the Brickhouse. There was plenty of room for our extended family group, and the property was clean and convenient to the sites in Nauvoo. Owners were great to work with as we needed to alter our stay dates a little. Would suggest that bunkbeds should have flat sheets instead of just a blanket. Also, a couple locks on bathroom doors didn't work. Overall a great place to stay though!

We loved it!

  • 5 of 5

It was a great home. We loved all the bedrooms and bathrooms. We also appreciated the sound proof basement. We didn't hear the kids playing at all.
