1 Bedroom, 2 Baths with Sunset Ocean Views
Whether you’re looking for a serene, rejuvenating, tropical escape or an active fun and sun-filled outdoor adventure, you’ll find our 1 bedroom, 2 full bath ocean view condo located in beautiful Wailea to be the perfect springboard for your great Maui vacation. Ekahi 50D is in Wailea Ekahi Village, one of the few beachfront resorts in Wailea with direct access to Keawakapu Beach, one of the most gorgeous beaches on Maui. Enjoy romantic sunset beach walks, swimming, snorkeling, boogie boarding, and some of the best whale watching on the island!
You'll have access to 4 sparkling swimming pools, including 3 “quiet area” designated pools great for reading or sunning and the large beachfront pool and pavilion with wonderful expansive views of the ocean and islands of Lanai and Kahoolawe and direct access to the beach.
Ekahi #50D is a 2nd story unit with an airy, light, open feeling with soaring cathedral ceilings and wide views of the ocean, sunsets, and the beautiful tropical landscaping of Ekahi from virtually anywhere you stand in the living or dining rooms. The spacious 2nd story unit (1090 sq. ft.) also offers a wonderful sense of privacy and comfort due to its location and warm, tropical decor.
Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and large private lanai with BBQ. And sleep peacefully on a comfortable memory-foam topper king size bed. In May 2014 we installed brand new sleeper-sofa couch in the living room with a comfy queen size memory foam mattress.
The condo has a new quiet, dual zone air conditioning system so there's cooling AC available throughout the unit. And we just finished a complete remodel of the master bathroom now featuring a walk-in shower with Italian porcelain sandstone style with beautiful blue glass accent tiles, and all new fixtures including a rain shower head. The full guest bath features a tub/shower combination. Both the master bath and guest bath have top of the line granite top vanities.
The condo also comes with free, high-speed, internet with wireless access. So, you can bring your ipad or laptop and check your email or access the net, all while watching the whales, and sipping a fresh cup of Kona coffee or your favorite wine or cocktail out on the lanai.
If you’re looking for activities away from the beaches Wailea is a golfer's dream destination and there’s also a tennis club just up the hill.
And for runners and walkers, just take the 2 mile Wailea beach path that starts right in front of Ekahi Village and jog or stroll past five beautiful white sand beaches and the many five-star hotels, shopping, restaurants, and other resorts along the Wailea beach.
The Shops at Wailea are also only a few minutes away; there you'll find several great restaurants, as well as some of the best shopping on the island.

About Paul O'Reilly
We've been visiting Maui for 19 years and finally bought our dream place in 2012. So we're excited to share or part-time home and what we view as one of the prettiest spots on the island with our guests.
Paul O'Reilly purchased this Condo in 2012
Why Paul O'Reilly chose Wailea
We had been looking at many different properties over the years and in fact we had narrowed it down to a few in another development but when I went to Maui to finally pick one and make an offer, 50D came on the market. When I walked in the door it just felt right. The high ceilings just make it so airy, open and relaxing not like any typical condo I've ever seen. And then I saw those stunning views of the ocean right through the picture window in the living room and then turned the other direction and saw the beautiful landscaping and West Maui Mountain views out the lanai and kitchen windows. I just couldn't imagine getting any of the other units we had been about ready to put an offer on. I'd finally found the place that made me feel truly ready to commit and make an offer.
What makes this Condo unique
The sense of space, the stunning views, those two big cushy chairs on the lanai that you can sit in all day to read or just soak up the beautiful air and sounds of Wailea and then watch those wonderful sunsets from...

1st time in Maui...Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!
This property was perfect for our first time in Maui. Great location, clean spaces and full of everything we needed minus groceries. We had a great time waking up early, having breakfast on the Lanai and enjoying the amazing views of the ocean and mountains. In fact, the moment we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to see a bunch of young Humpbacks surfacing and playing out on the surf! Good thing we brought the binoculars! The property itself, Ekahi Village, was beautifully maintained and we enjoyed the quiet pools and easy beach access. The staff was super friendly. As for the condo, it was in great shape, very clean and spacious. It had everything we needed to entertain ourselves while not out and about exploring the island (wifi, TV, games, etc). We actually had an amazing time following the Australian Open at night while relaxing after a long hike. We had no issues at all with the lodging, and will definitely consider this property again should we find ourselves traveling to Maui.
What we enjoyed the most about the condo are the views. No matter where you look, the views were fantastic. We also enjoyed the grill and the lanai. The keyless entry was hassle free and well-maintained grounds was exceptional. Just a note though, it is on the second level, therefore you have to deal with stairs. If you have problems with stairs, this may not work for you. Having said that, this condo is well-appointed and is in a good location.
We will definitely go back.
We had a great time on Maui and Paul’s place had everything we needed. Thanks Paul and Paula for providing a wonderful spot to call home while we enjoyed the Island.
Very nice condo with fantastic garden view and a decent ocean view. Good tv's and other amenities
Good views of garden and ocean from lanai and good working gas barbecue. Was very clean and furn was in very good cond. had a little noise from hwy but nothing too bad. Pool and pool area was top notch and Furnished beach chairs and boogie board came in handy at the beach. We may very well book again next year. Don burkhart
Thanks for your nice comments. I would just like to clarify that there’s no highway near our condo. Just Wailea Alanui drive, a pretty two lane street with island with trees in the middle. I’m wondering if possibly because you’re from Alaska that maybe the roads are even smaller or that you live far from things so there’s no noise.
I’d just note that if you read all the other reviews, no one that has stayed in our condo has been concerned about noise.
I think you’re saying it didn’t actually affect you and you planned on booking again but I just wanted to clarify this for other renters who may read your review.
Thanks again for taking the time to write your feedback.
Have a wonderful 2018.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful condo. What did we enjoy? The view of the sunrises and sunsets from the lanai were outstanding. The comfortable and well appointed interior with the spacious living room. The comfortable bed. The beautiful grounds with an intoxication of colors and aromas. The proximity to beautiful beaches. Accommodating owner.
As Good as Heaven
We stayed a week in Paul's condo and it was truly amazing!
It starts with the incredible view of the property's lushness from the lanai patio right off the kitchen. The complex is immaculately maintained. We are birdwatchers and had several species new to us come right up to the property.
It is a beautiful 5 minute walk down to the main pool and entrance to spectacular Keawakapu Beach. The pool has large sitting areas with umbrellas (it's a hot sun!), along with a sizable covered area complete with a working kitchen, refrigerators and an ice machine. All perfection for sunning, swimming, reading or just lounging.
Keawakapu Beach is generally calm, excellent for walking, swimming and snorkeling. You are also very close to the 1.5 mile Wailea Beach Walk (paved) for a stroll or early morning run.
The condo has everything you need: a fully equipped kitchen, microwave, coffee machine, espresso maker, DVD player and flat screen TV's in the spacious living room and bedroom. Paul's condo also has beach toys, beach towels, umbrellas, folding chairs and snorkeling equipment. Paul even left for us a brand new bag of Kona coffee, which made us feel Hawaiian first thing in the morning.
Paul was instantly responsive to any questions or needs we had. It was our first trip to Maui (and Hawaii) and we could not have spent it in a better accommodation. It truly was as good as heaven.
Stunning ocean views and sunsets from lanai and living room, free high speed wireless internet, two LCD TVs, beach chairs and cooler, BBQ grill, two cushy plantation chairs on lanai to relax and enjoy the scenery
