About this space
This large house, located in a very desirable residential neighborhood in Southwest Harbor, is a quick walk to the ocean, family friendly Acadia National Park hiking trails as well as the Causeway Club Golf Course. Tastefully decorated spacious rooms, luxury kitchen and large deck with various seating areas make this a wonderful vacation retreat. 3 sets of french doors lead to the deck from the master bedroom, living room and dining room. Large, beautifully landscaped yard. 4 night minimum.
The space
Sonnenhof is a two story house with a total of 4 bedrooms. 3 bedrooms (2 king bedrooms and the bedroom with 2 twins) located on the first floor and the 4th queen bedroom, sitting room and 3rd full bathroom located on the second floor. The first floor master bedroom has an en-suite full bathroom and the other first floor bedrooms share a full bathroom. Bed linens, bath towels and beach towels are provided. Toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, coffee, coffee filters, salt, pepper and cooking oil are provided.
The house has a kitchen filled with all the appliances, dishes, pot and pans and kitchen gadgets you'll need. The house also has a full laundry room.
Just pack your bags, toiletries and food and enjoy this wonderful property.

Great location within the quieter part of Acadia. Grocery store nearby. Island Explorer bus stop in Southwest Harbor, one mile from the house as a means of getting to other major parts of the park without driving and parking.

This place was wonderful. It was our annual sibling reunion and all of my family were so comfortable in this place. The room space matched our needs perfectly. The kitchen was awesome and so much fun to cook in. The locale deep in these woods was so serene and peaceful. We just absolutely loved this place!

Exceptional home for our group of 8. Clean, comfortable and very well appointed. The kitchen worked well for group meals. We enjoyed the outside entertainment space (deck, firepit, grill) and proximity to golf, Acadia and downtown SW Harbor. Flying Mountain trail is within walking distance. Communication with Ingrid was clear and efficient. Great house and host.

Our stay was perfect due to the cleanliness, location and well stocked kitchen. The gazebo was great for us to sit and talk. Ingrid responded quickly to questions and her recommendations to restaurants were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

The house was spotless, well-stocked, and in a perfect location close to some of the best Acadia National Park trails. It had everything we needed and more. We also enjoyed spending time in the town of Southwest Harbor, just a few minutes away. Highly recommend!

This was our family’s (4 daughters -18,20, 20, & 22 years old) first time to Maine…and our first time to the Acadia area. We had the best time in this VRBO. It was a wonderful place for us to hang out together! Everything was communicated so well, and everything in the house was well labeled! The kitchen was wonderful to cook in. The rooms were perfect for our family! They had games, books, puzzles, everything! We loved sitting out on the deck and enjoying the weather…we also loved hanging out in the living room!The location is truly perfect! Southwest Harbor is out of the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, but had all of the things that you would want…restaurants, stores, lobster and more.I cannot recommend this VRBO enough! We would definitely come here again!

A beautiful house on the quiet side of Southwest Harbor, still close to food and groceries! Plenty of parking for our Motorcycles, which isn’t always the case. We loved staying here!

House was amazing and had several good restaurants around. Rooms were spacious and the house and grounds were beautiful. Excellent kitchen and the host was fantastic.
