The house was perfect size. The only issue we had was upon arriving the towels were put up soaking wet so we had to re wash and dry them before we could use them

Sorry about this experience Ashleigh, I am not sure how this happened usually I ask the cleaning team to send me photos when they are done. However on this particular occasion they did not send any photos and therefore I am unable to verify. Also a picture of the wet towels would have been very helpful. But not withstanding we will work harder to ensure this doesn’t happen ever again. Thanks
First is a total different house. The train passes every 30 minutes all night and all day we couldn't sleep the house smell dead roaches inside the house the beds really uncomfortable no blankets Fridge was unplugged so it had a bad smwllsmelllsmellwe were not able to in it.

After a brief stay at my property, Jonathan requested for a full refund from Vrbo citing mold and roaches. I went to the building same day they checked out, and before the cleaners to take pictures from the same angle he did and sent to Vrbo for review. After the review it was concluded that Jonathan’s claims were false and his request for full refund was denied. Out of good will and because he checked out early I offered a partial refund. But my guess is that Jonathan was unhappy with his denied claim.
As for the trains the rail tracks are more than 700 feet from the property which exceeds the minimum requirement of 500 feet. However, we do have noise monitoring devices that are triggered when the noice threshold is higher that does allowable per city’s regulations. If there is a noise trigger alert and at the same time the guest complains of noise, we take such complaints seriously and try to compensate the guest if they ask for it. In this instance that wasn’t the case, but Jonathan requested for a full refund. We understand we all have different noise tolerance and sorry if this just wasn’t the place for you and your family.
Okay so upon arriving I was skeptical of the neighborhood ..DO NOT LET THAT STOP YOU!! Booking here was the best thing it was so CLEAN I MEAN NOT ONE ROACH OR BUG IN SITE !! EVEN OUTSIDE it was very clean and no big tree roaches … It is EXACTLY how it looks on the pictures!!! He was very accommodating! House was fully stocked (I also left something’s for the next person to enjoy ) and the neighborhood is so quiet besides minor construction (third ward is the industrial and artsy side of south Houston) BUT IN ALL….I would book again just based off cleanliness and how it was such a quiet neighborhood (no loud neighbors) IT WAS AMAZING perfect for family coming to visit you as well!! Truly awesome ! I left this review also because I wasn’t even expecting this to go well but for the price and the area …JUST BOOK ALREADY ! he’s a Host that deserves it.

Thanks Nia, we are happy you enjoyed your stay. You are welcome anytime.
Just wanted to say…driving in to the property, I kept asking myself “oh my! What have I done to myself?” But let me tell all of you…don’t be distracted by the location. The internal was better than you would expect! The owner was very responsive upon my arrival (and THANK YOU!). There are three living units located on the property so make sure that you try your entry code on the right door. The train does not disturb your stay. There were no problems with any signs of insects. Very clean and updated in appliances and tvs. Nice decor with the electric fireplace! One recommendation: I would replace all window blinds with the 2 inch wood blinds as it would cut down on damage from destructive pets. My pets are well mannered and wouldn’t dare, but the ones that were already damaged were either caused by pets or small children. Also, I would change out the tv remote that has loose finger pad. Overall, very satisfied. I worried about my safety, at first, but that worry disappeared almost immediately. Would stay there again for future travels!
Complete nightmare! I arrived at the property after being rerouted through a sketchy surrounding neighborhood, as all roads leading to the property were either demolished or closed. Upon arrival, I learned that my vehicle would not fit in the “mandatory garage parking.” Unless you drive a compact car, you will not fit inside.I contacted the host to explain my dilemma, and he suggested parking in front of the property—on a road that does not exist under a large oak tree next to heavy machinery. (There was even a notice posted on the door stating no street parking.) Still, he insisted I park on the street. At that point, I knew the property did not meet my expectations. The lack of disclosure prior to booking and the embellishments in the description became very apparent once I was on-site. I contacted the host again, requesting a refund since there was no suitable parking, the property was not in the condition depicted, and I hadn’t even entered the rental. He never responded to my request, nor was VRBO customer service able to resolve the issue.Cheers to anyone who decides to book this property.

Sorry about your experience Coby. The garage can fit any full size car and midsize suvs. I suggested you use the driveway since your truck wouldn’t fit in the garage. But you were more concerned about how the construction has made the house not meet your expectations. Vrbo has new rules that doesn’t allow the host to initiate cancellations without risking delisting of the property. I ask you to initiate the cancellation that way Vrbo will reach out to me to discuss refunds. But the cancellation never happened. I didn’t hear back from neither you nor Vrbo.
