4 King Bedrooms, 3 Bath Luxury Cabin With Mountain Views
Karl and Sally Kuhn
About Karl and Sally Kuhn
We both grew up in Arkansas but with school have lived in Texas, Florida, Tennessee and Maryland. We eventually ended up in the Nashville area. Our favorite family vacation is hiking, especially in the Smokies. We are trying to hit all the national parks with our kids.
Karl and Sally Kuhn purchased this Cabin in 2010
Why Karl and Sally Kuhn chose Townsend
We love the outdoors which is what drew us to this beautiful secluded cabin. We bought the cabin to have a vacation home that our kids would be drawn back to every year as they get older. We hope you and your family will enjoy it as much as we do and will use it to lure your family back together at special times.
What makes this Cabin unique
We love the seclusion of the cabin and the changing views from the porch. Every 15 minutes the shadows and clouds have changed the incredible views off the deck. We also like the the easy access to the park and love being able to sneak in through Maryville instead of getting stuck in the traffic of Pigeon Forge. We come to the Smokies to get away from it all. This cabin allows you to do that while still being within striking distance of all the go karts, funnel cake, and outlet malls we can handle. The 9 acres has a stream and waterfall which was an added bonus we discovered after we bought it. Our kids have now become expert salamander hunters in the creek below the falls.

We love the view location and the scenery was gorgeous
The communication given by the owner was awesome the location and the scenery is second to none we had eight people in the cabin and we never felt like we are tripping over each other it was a wonderful experience
Perfect place to create family memories with a view!!!!
Antler Mountain Lodge exceeded our expectations in every way. The cabin was clean, tastefully decorated & contained extras like books, games, porch rockers, a grill, toys & even a Pac & Play for the little one. We used them all. We had a family on each floor and used every porch. We were fortunate enough be visited by mama bear and her 2 cubs. They put on a show for us as we watched from the 3rd floor balcony. That was one of the highlights of our trip. We loved having breakfast together at the huge dining room table. I highly recommend this cabin for any group getaway. It comfortable, private & conveniently located. We loved it! Hope to return for more memories!
We had 8 adults and 1 child. Some of us have been to the area before and stayed in other cabins but a few of us had never been. The game room was awesome for the staying in nights. Needed to step up the cleaning though!
Secluded and good for larger group
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin.. communication with the manager was great.. there were few bugs during the nights..
Was exactly what we were looking for!
Our group was looking for a fun relaxing weekend and this place was perfect! Great space and great location!
was nice property/house but needs some maintenance and cleaning
Sally was great to work with during booking. Nice home, but windows are all fogged over and can barely see out on back side of the house to see the mountains/view. Tons of dead lady bugs in house when arrived. Bedrooms are very dark-missing light bulbs. Hot tub was dirty-couldn't use. Just overall could use a general maintenance walk through. Nice location though!
Sorry about the hot tub. It's a new tub and we have a new water filter. They are still working on getting the filter perfect with the well water for the hot tub. There is an iron issue in the well water that causes the color change and smell.
The filter is working great for the house water but occasionally causes problems with the hot tub, apparently due to the volume. they are adding a chemical to the hot tub to keep the iron from turning the corners of the tub brown. It isn't dirt in the hot tub- it's the iron build up. The cleaning crew will always come out and clean the hot tub or cabin to your satisfaction if there are issues. I hate that you were not able to use the hot tub..
The Ladybugs are a problem in every cabin in the Smokies. They have to be cleaned up on an almost daily basis in the fall/early winter.
We have replace the 2 missing light bulbs the cleaning crew found. We are also getting a quote to replace the upper windows on the back wall so the view from the balcony is not impeded. Luckily, the lower windows are not having any fogging issues so with the blinds open the view is still spectacular. .
We love our cabin and want our guests to love it also. Thanks for letting us know about these issues.
Antler's Mountain Lodge is nestled in the heart of Wears Valley on 9 acres. Only one other cabins roof is visible from the house. Some of the best hiking and flyfishing in the country is located in the Smoky Mountains which are just minutes away. Two of the main entrances to the Smoky Mountain National park are within 5 miles of our cabin. The popular swimming spot known as ' the Y' is close as well as the Sugarlands Visitors Center. Guests can also enjoy horseback riding and ziplining at Next To Heaven Riding Stables 2 minutes from cabin. Little River Flyfishing Outfitters and River Rat tubing on the Little River are also within 5 minutes from our cabin.
Our cabin is in a secluded area, but still 15 minutes from popular attractions in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge such as Dollywood, Ripley's Aquarium, Dixie Stampede, and Ober Gatlinburg skiing and ice skating.
