Relaxing beach house getaway in Rockaway Beach NYC, 1 block to beach and boardwalk.

Modern kitchen, comfortable living room, work desk, library, porch w/ dining table + hammocks. Vegetable garden, outdoor shower, bikes, beginner surfboards, & beach gear available. House is kid friendly with Montessori style toys + books. Many amenities, cafes, restaurants, etc short walk or bike ride away. Subway is 1 block away and the ferry is short 15 minute walk.

The space
Bedrooms are minimalist and clean. 2nd bedroom has working desk for remote work needs. Kids bedroom has kids desk, arts & crafts, and books hidden away if desired.

3 air purifies, water filter, AC in master bedroom serves master bedroom and kids room. Eco features include solar panels and weekly composting pick up.

House has good cross ventilation and blackout blinds if sun is too strong during day. The porch has a privacy bamboo shade useful in the afternoon. You can always cool off by swimming in the ocean or sitting on the shore and enjoying the ocean breeze:). The hammocks on the porch are excellent in the evening and night time to relax after a day at the beach.

Vegetable garden and trees attracts many local birds and pollinators including monarch butterflies August -September.

Other things to note
Outdoor shower has hot+cold water, is semi-private, but not fully enclosed, meant to be used with bathing suit on. Beach wagon with 2 chairs, umbrella, frisbee, etc available. Many extras available for use upon request before check-in: Outdoor fireplace, pizza oven and grill available for use upon request, wood is available for taking to beach, ask for more details. Beginner soft-top surfboards available for use at the nearby surfing beach, I will give more details if interested. There are private and group lessons available nearby. We have 2-3 bikes available please ask if interested before check-in.
