About Joseph White
In 2004-2006 I built our lodge to house fall deer and elk hunters and realized they wanted to come back and enjoy the scenery in the other seasons of the year and now newly opened Cherry Ridge to other vacationing guests.
Joseph White purchased this Lodge in 2006

We stayed from June 14-June 17. Everyone had a great time. The lodge is great for larger groups.
We loved that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The kitchen was huge and very well stocked with cooking accessories, 4 refrigerators and 2 stoves plus a grill outside. There is an above ground swimming pool and hot tub. We spent a lot of time on the covered deck watching the deer. Within an hours drive or less, we visited the Kinzua Dam, Kinzua Bridge, Rimrock Overlook, Jake’s Rocks, Zippo Museum, Model T Inn, and Bell’s Meat Market in Kane. They have wonderful brats that we brought back to the lodge and cooked on the grill. The location of the lodge is quiet and peaceful. I think everyone would have been fine with spending all of our time there. A very relaxing vacation destination!
It’s really a good place to stay. I will highly recommend all to go and stay over there.
The place was very spacious and had plenty of room and beds for our group of 22 people. Joe was very helpful and responsive. Only issue we had was the water pressure and not having enough hotwater for all to shower. In our second day Joe came and resolved it so wasn't an issue anymore.
Joe is great and has a nice place in beautiful country
Kitchen is great for preparing for a large group. Plenty of bedrooms and beds. The owner, Joe, is great and easy going.
Stayed here last summer/fall (2015)
I have held off leaving a review for so long because was fearful of being listed as a bad reviewer but I must say.
Was extremely disappointed with this property.
We had a family reunion of about approximately 14 people including small children and 2 small'ish dogs.
We chose this property due to the seeming rustic, remote feel of the property and that it all was. However, upon our arrival we learned that the dogs were only allowed in the walk-in basement portion of the house, not up on the main floor or the top floor. Found out that the property was advertised as being on several acres only to come to find out that the entire main property is completely fenced by, like, a 10 foot electric wire fence that keeps their hunted elk in pens. Came to find out that the all of the finishes for the bedrooms were old, hand-me-down furniture and linens. I t was disgusting. I was honestly afraid to touch or sleep under anything. But probably close to the worst were the kitchens chairs. They were all mixed chairs which was fine but we refused to use any that were suede fabric because they were stained from years of use. They were absolutely disgusting. The kitchen was pretty darned nice and the house as a whole was indeed beautiful but it is my impression that the owner spent a million on the house and shopped in bargain stores or simply used donated or old things from their owns houses to furnish the property.
I ask all guests that bring dogs to keep them on the lower level as to not scratch my floors that we shine between each booking. Renters that do not follow this policy lose their deposit. I'm sorry if this upsets any guests however future renters expect earlier ones to follow policy rules to enjoy themselves our shiny floors. Please check out other guest reviews on our rental of our furnishings and hospitality.
Spent an extended golf weekend at the Cherry Ridge Lodge and I can't say enough great things about it. This place is in excellent condition and allows for a variety of uses for several people. We had 20 golfers spend the weekend and never once felt crowded. There was enough seating in the kitchen for us to all have dinner together. Would definitely recommend this for a golfers getawayand we have already scheduled our 2016 golf getaway. Joe is a first class host and nows the area like no other. I can see this place being used for a Girls getaway, golf trip, family reunion, etc. Put Cherry Ridge on your bucket list.....it's a must!!
