We had a wonderful at stay at this place! It was the perfect comfy home to come back to after having long days out. They also had great beach equipment which we really enjoyed using. Would stay here again!

Lovely Stay!

Our family of 5 had a fantastic time staying here! The home is well located in Princeville, and was equipped with everything we needed for a seamless trip to Kauai!

Great place! My only wish was that every bedroom had an air conditioner unit because we have 4 kids and needed to use all rooms. Other than that it is a great property!

Nice two-story condo in great location

This was a nice house for a stay in Princeville – great location near to Princeville and Hanalei. The house was clean, comfortable and well situated. There are boogie boards and beach towels and beach toys – great to have these supplied.Communications withe owner and property manager were good.

Perfect Spot for Families

Stayed here with 2 kids under 2 and the location/property was wonderful. Great hike at the end of Hanalei Plantation Road down to the beach with an amazing farm stand (Nourish) all my the way. Ema was really helpful in providing pack n plays and kids toys/beach gear. Would stay here again!

Lovely time in Princeville

We loved staying in Ema's home. It was clean, had all the amenities we needed, and in a quiet and pretty location. It even came with the neighborhood cat Bonkers! We settled right in and loved this as our home base at the top of the island. Thanks for a great stay! We would happily stay again.

Very cute and functional.

Place is clean, well decorated, had all the extras like beach items and a book of insider information about the area. Having a spot to do laundry is fantastic. The neighborhood cat was a pleasant surprise.

Spacious and lovely location

Our family of 4 had a great stay! Comfortable and spacious and a fantastic location. Kitchen was very well equipped and the air conditioning units worked well. As others have said, careful not to trip the fuse if you blow dry your hair but if this happens it’s easily remedied via the cupboard in the downstairs bathroom. Super well located- we enjoyed walking down to nourish and the local beach which is lovely. Handy beach equipment. Quiet. Thank you Ema!

Kauai Vacation

The three bedrooms and two baths, clean apartment was well equipped to make our stay comfortable. Totally appreciate the well stocked kitchen which made cooking much easier. Also, the location was within walking distance to beautiful sights. Bonkers, the sweet cat waited out in the porch in the evenings for my young adults to feed him. Overall, the place was perfect for a family of six. Definitely recommend it!

Nice property

Nice, clean place to stay conveniently located to nearby Hanalei and stores. Very workable for my family of five. Owner was super responsive when I had questions or any minor issues. VRBO was very late in getting the check in instructions to me, but that is not the owner’s issue. She was kind enough to forward them to me by herself.

We enjoy our stay for what it was, but if you are allergic to cats, sensitive to smells, or planning to spend a lot of time inside the home this may not be a good fit for you and your traveling party. There is a nice kitchen with a beautiful dining table. The house provided all the beach accessories we needed; however, many of the items did smell like dirty cat/cat pee. Parking and location was very convenient to many places we wanted to explore. Despite all of this we still enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely Perfect Location

This welcoming home was exactly what our family needed after a busy week in Honolulu. Tucked into what felt like a tropical forest, it was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals plus a grocery store and farmers market just minutes away.Some things worth mentioning: My family enjoyed the local kitties and chickens that would visit us every morning. The roosters do crow at odd times, but turn on a fan at night and you won't even hear them. The house is also stocked with toys and games. I saw a pack and play in the closet as well. Ema has boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels for you. There is a lot of storage to unpack your things and spread out. There are 3 separate air conditioning units that help cool down the house and lots of fans, but we found if you just open all the windows, it was just as nice.Ema was so sweet to leave a small basket of local goodies on the beautiful wooden table where we shared so many special family meals. She shared lots of advice on where to visit and what we could do. This house was in the perfect location — peaceful and tucked away, yet super close to everything. The beach was a walk away, and even more beaches just minutes down the road. Kauai is truly the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen with my own eyes, and we feel so lucky to have experienced it.

Wonderful & Welcoming

We really enjoyed this spacious, well appointed townhome located in a quiet neighborhood just a five minute drive to Foodland and 10 minutes to Hanalei Town. The owners made Life easy by providing beach chairs, a beach umbrella, cooler, life vests (for kayaking/canoeing the River), games, and more. The bedrooms have portable AC units which we used only once but would be a big plus on hot, humid nights during the summer. We loved daily visits from Bonkers, the resident outdoor kitty, who is super sweet and friendly, plus visits from a rooster and hen who frequent the area (note: there are lots of loud roosters all over Kauai.) Overall we had a very comfortable stay and highly recommend the home.

Customer service at its peak

When we first arrived after a treacherous day of travel due to weather, the unit wasn’t ready for us and typically this would have just been a rocky start to our trip but that was not the case. The way that the home owner but most importantly, the cleaning company owner made things right with us made the trip better than we could have ever imagined. He gave us the best tips on where to go, where to eat, etc. He checked in throughout the trip to make sure we were covered. Made sure the home had all the basics needed, towels, beach chairs, coolers even. The home is adorable, it’s about a mile from the cutest beach and less than a mile in the opposite direction to the cutest restaurants and the local foodland. Overall we had an awesome stay & in grateful we had Chris & that we picked this home to stay in.

Wonderfully perfect rental

We had a wonderful stay in Ema's Princeville twin. The property was everything portrayed in the listing, and more!! The home was spacious, tastefully decorated, beautifully landscaped, and so unbelievably clean!! The most important facet for us renting on VRBO is arriving to a property that makes us feel comfortable to stay there-clean beds, crisp linens, , modern bathrooms, and a spotless kitchen. Ema's home had all of these. She also had every small detail of home that you would need. The property's location was perfect for exploring the north shore and finding great places to adventure and dine. It was also so incredibly cool to take the secret path down to the St. Regis beach-a gorgeous walk down to the path (with prettier views then you can see at the overlooks) that cuts through the old Club Med property. We loved hearing the roosters crowing and loved when they joined us on the back porch. Finally, Ema's hospitality. We have stayed at a minimum of 20 VRBO properties, and this is the first one that had so many personal, and upscale, touches. She had a generous and beautiful welcome offering of snacks and drinks when we arrived, including cold water bottles in the fridge. She supplied laundry needs, dishwasher tablets, soaps, shampoos, everything you could need.....!! And the cleaning crew left things so tidy and perfect. There was also everything you needed for beach days and enjoying the island. I truly cannot say enough about how Ema's property and hospitality, it exceeded our expectations. When we return to Kauai, we will definitely book this property again. Thanks Ema for sharing your home with us!!

Literally everything you will need! This unit was clean and delightfully quiet. The grounds are lovely and neighbors are conscious of light pollution, so you'll have a wonderful view of the stars at night. The air conditioning works great--you'll only need a few minutes to cool down bedrooms at night. You'll find shopping and food within walking distance and many beaches just minutes away. Best of all, every single thing you could need is already here. The host has gone far beyond the usual stocked kitchen and plentiful towels. You'll be provided with games, toys, and books for your time in the condo. Plus there are beach chairs and towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards, coolers, outdoor games...even water shoes! The property has great information about the area, including notes on the Hawaiian language, restaurant suggestions, and an introduction to the community cat, who will be happy to visit with you if you so desire. The host was in touch during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed and checking in and out could not have been easier. This is a 5-star stay in every way!

Heavenly Hanalei

Lovely, well equipped home. Clean, comfortable and great location. We appreciated how well stocked it was from tissues in each room, nice bathroom supplies and many kitchen tools. The one issue that we had was immediately resolved by Chris, the manager. We really enjoyed our stay and all fell in love with Bonkers, the cat. Oh, and we were the first to christen the new outdoor shower which is a great addition.

We are a family of four who first discovered Kauai nearly 30 years ago. What began as a simple vacation quickly became something deeper—the island’s beauty, spirit, and friendships we built here touched us in ways we could never have imagined. Over time, Kauai called us back again and again, until we finally decided to set down roots.

Our hearts are forever split between Kauai and California. Life has taken us through challenges—our family home was lost in the Woolsey Fire while we were here on island—but those moments gave us perspective and reminded us what truly matters: family, community, and the simple joys of life.

Our little cottage is the realization of a dream shared by all four of us—surfers, seekers, and philosophers at heart. It’s a place where the rhythm of the ocean and the calm of the mountains come together, offering both inspiration and rest.

We’ve chosen to share our home with those who carry that same zest for life—people who know the value of slowing down, embracing beauty, and creating memories with loved ones.
