About this property

La Pitchoune: 4 bedroom, AC, Luxury Chef's Kitchen Built by Paul & Julia Child

La Pitchoune was built in the 1960's by Paul and Julia Child. A respite from the busy world of fame, La Peetch (as they loved to call it) became their sanctuary. The cottage is close to everything, but feels just secluded enough to be a magical haven in the South of France. The cottage is a 4 bedroom with ensuite bathroom property, and boasts gorgeous gardens; an outdoor kitchen; the famous pegboard kitchen installed by Paul and Julia Child; a saltwater pool; and so much more.

Nestled in a tranquil setting, this perfect getaway features modern amenities like AC, WiFi, and fitness equipment. With 5 bathrooms and a cozy atmosphere, guests can unwind and relax in this quaint retreat.

Our rental is more like a hotel. We stock your fridge; serve you an apéro dinatoire; and can add all sorts of amenities in addition to renting the home. We've lived in the region for a decade, and have connections in most cities.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

I'm an American emigrant who has lived in France for over a decade. I was born and raised in California/Colorado and made the move here after finding La Pitchoune, where I bought it site unseen. I'm a cookbook author, entrepreneur, and Mama. You can see La Peetch in all her glory on La Pitchoune: Cooking in France on HBO Max.

What makes this property unique

The piece de resistance is obviously the pegboard kitchen. While it's not exactly as it was, it's primarily still intact. We have literally anything you need to cook from market to table. It's a house built for entertaining and cavorting, and we hope you'll do just that.
