We had the best time here on our honeymoon. We are avid hikers and come every spring. This was our first trip kid free, we enjoyed the peacefulness of the cabin and had the best nights under the stars by the fire!

The Trail Tamer was a great place to stay it was incredibly clean and had everything we needed. It wasn’t quite as private as I thought it would be but the people that were staying in the other cabins nearby were pretty quiet. There are about a dozen cabins in this little area. The blackout blinds provided all the privacy you wanted. There is a Keurig coffee pot that wasn’t in the pictures I saw on line. We enjoyed the hot tub and the bed was firm but very comfy and plenty of pillows. All the blankets and bedding were fresh and soft. The road up the cabins is tight, steep and twisty, take your time and go slowly and you’ll have no issues getting there. Google Maps took us right to the front door. I would stay here again if we were back at the red river gorge again.
