Charming 3-bedroom house with AC, WiFi on the Mesa!

Enjoy our home located on the Mesa in Santa Barbara. We just rennovated to add a second bathroom to the master bedroom and added a washer/dryer, as well as added a wooded outdoor patio with a hot tub. Short walking distance from Shoreline Park in a good neighborhood. You will be able to quickly drive to the Mesa Shopping area or to lower state street in under 10 minutes. Santa Barbara is small so getting anywhere else in town would probably take around 10minutes to get to as well!

Stairs are required to get into the house. We have tenants that also rent a studio that is located below the house.

It was a quick getaway/ visit so our time in the home was only to sleep, share a snack, late night sip of wine, and morning coffee. There was plenty of room for our friend group. The backyard needed some upkeep, need to stock up on wine glasses, and get some WD-40 on the squeaky doors. Overall comfortable stay.

Overall the property is great! It could have been cleaner. There was a lot of dust and dirt around the bunk beds in the bunk bed room.

We stayed in the house for 2 nights to attend a wedding at the nearby Eling Park. The quiet neighborhood was perfect for easy walks to access the sandy shores and ocean of Ledbetter Beach. There was an ironing board, iron and steamer which were all helpful in getting our wedding outfits ready. We were also appreciative that there were 2 well stocked bathrooms and plenty of towels. The property has many fruit trees and a tropical feeling to it. Although we didn't have young children with us, the house is equipped with high chair, portable crib, and bunk beds that are low to the ground making it a nice place for families with young children. There is a beautiful grape vine growing on a trellis in the back yard which unfortunately results in some messy grapes on the ground. The backyard would have been more impressive with a cleanup before we arrived, but this was minor in the scope of things. We were grateful to have a warm jacuzzi and a cozy home for the beautiful weekend together.

We had a great stay at this property during our 5 night stay. Pros: Location, location, location! This property is in a great location for everything downtown. The Moxi, the Zoo, East Beach, all minutes away.We appreciated the open layout kitchen and three bedrooms that were comfy and had plenty of linens. Laundry room was very helpful and they have lots of amenities for a day at the beach if needed. Overall, we were very comfortable for a family of four. Cons: We selected this property to have some outdoor space in the backyard for our 3 and 5 year old and we couldn’t even eat nor sit in the backyard as there are vine grapes dropped and smashed into the ground everywhere. We tried to sweep and clean ourselves to no avail. The backyard hadn’t been cleaned in awhile and we were sad not to be able to use an entire feature of the house. The outdoor table was very dirty so we didn’t even touch it. The house needs an overall deep clean especially the kitchen appliances and some of the family room furniture could use an upgrade but it didn’t hinder our stay. You won’t be disappointed staying here!

The home was pretty dirty in a lot of corners and areas and every fixture was falling apart. Multiple outlets didn’t work. The outdoor area was a mess so you couldn’t sit anywhere. Not enough toilet paper or paper towels. All of the pots pans and utensils were disgusting looked like they hadn’t been washed and the dishwasher was so gross we couldn’t use it. We paid way too much to stay here we should’ve stayed at a hotel instead.

I’m trying to get a hold of the host to tell him we’re leaving but can’t. Also, 2 things to tell the owner. #1 The plugs on the right side of the stove don’t work . 2#2The back yard is beautiful but all those wonderful grapes are ripe and the deck and patio are full of them. Also, there were several raccoons collecting grapes every night all over the arbor and deck.
