Dear Holly, I am mortified that you were so disappointed and I will be engaging a different cleaning agency. Upon your arrival on 7/11, and in response to my inquiry, you reported that everything was satisfactory. However, at 10:30 P.M. (after your group had been in and out several times I'm sure) you reported sandy floors. I suggested to you that I would have the cleaners return (which you rejected). You never requested compensation. Please remember that you received a $332 discount off the rental rate at booking. As to there being no hot water in the kitchen, that would be hard to imagine if there was hot water in the baths. The kitchen faucet is a " no touch" with a lever that controls temperature. Perhaps you didn't turn the lever to "hot". I suggest you could have avoided "staying in filth all week" if you had just agreed to me sending my cleaner back, or even spending 30 minutes making things sanitary for yourself. Cleaning agents and a broom/dustpan are supplied.

I am sorry about the elevator. It is a great help when it works. Being an outside elevator, it is subject to perils. There are so many other condos that don't even have an elevator. I am glad you had a great time, otherwise. BTW I can't do stairs at all and would be in a terrible state.

Thanks for the 5-star review and for letting me know that the towels had gotten so worn during the rental season. I will be replacing them this weekend with better quality ones. Hopefully, the new ones will last through the rest of the season.

If I had been notified that there was a problem, I would certainly have had someone come back to correct any questionable cleanliness. Once you have booked, you have my phone number and email address, as well as vrbo link to reach me quickly. It was a new cleaner that weekend who will not be used again.

Thank you for acknowledging that my home was nice and well stocked. Thanks, also, for acknowledging that I sent a professional pest control agent who assured you that there were no bed bugs. In fact, additionally, property management was sent out on two more occasions and none of these individuals ever saw ANY bugs inside the premises; but suggested to you that flying insects were biting you at the pool, on the beach, and/or on the deck when you were enjoying your meals on the balcony overlooking the ocean. I believe it is obvious that a 1-star review reflects disappointment that no monetary refund was forthcoming from this owner. I would warn other owners that, perhaps, they should think twice about accepting a booking from someone who uses an initial rather than a last name. It possibly connotes an intention to deceive or defraud. Thanks again for complementing my home's accouterments.
