This peaceful retreat features private hiking trails winding through wooded acreage, a serene pond right outside the back door for relaxing or fishing, and a babbling creek. In an ideal central location just a short drive from the Lake of Egypt, local wineries, the Shawnee National Forest and several state parks, it is the perfect base for your next family adventure in beautiful Southern Illinois!
During your stay you will have access to the 75-acre property with two ponds, a few creeks and two miles of hiking trails. Also feel free to visit the chapel and covered bridge.

The location is fantastic. Sitting on the deck looking at the pond was a highlight. The grounds are also nice. I had a few questions and the host was quick to respond and any glitches were dealt with good communication and quickly.

We really enjoyed this location! The property is a real bonus- we appreciated the pond and the walking trails right at the house! It’s also in close proximity to Ferne Clyff State Park and an hour away from Garden of the Gods. Nice and very clean! Having 2 tables was helpful for meals and games. Super easy check in!

Very Awesome stay. Very relaxing. The unit was very clean. Communication was awesome. Awesome property - hiking trail was rock paved and it is a beautiful hike. Fish were biting in both ponds. Looking for a place to relax and connect with nature? Book this one!

This house is very roomie and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked small appliances, everyday cooking tools, and common spices.The property is beautiful and well maintained also. This property has a very safe feeling. I would diffently recommend and restay here.
