A rustic tiny cabin with easy road access, just a short walk from shared New River access and a beautiful waterfall! 10 minutes to both West Jefferson and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Let the nature of Appalachia inspire you, like it did for Teddy Roosevelt in the 1910s at Pine Knot. The Calm Down Cabin is perfect for 1-2 people and can sleep 4 with a comfy pull out bed. River tubes are included on the property. Zaloo’s Canoes is a 4 minute drive!

The place sneaks up on you, but the walkway was well lit. We didnt see the Moose til the next day and it was spectacular! The bed was comfy and the property was quiet. The only thing we found surprising was the lack of silverware, but the plastic fork box discovery completed our trip. If we are ever back in Jefferson we would stay here again.

Exceeded expectations. First and foremost the entire property was spotless. Well equipped- I can't think of a thing we needed that wasn't at our finger tips- well thought out by the host. Perfect one room set up- the small space is put together so that we never felt cramped. Add to that the outdoor area beginning with the patio. Perfect for our coffee in the morning and dinner cooked on the included BBQ. On to the firepit set up; just what we needed for finishing off the evening. If that weren't enough the tubes in the shed gave us an afternoon of fun in the river at the nearby river. Dog friendly (a total must for us). Proximity to everything we like to visit finished things off for us including under 10 minutes to town (West Jeff). Absolutely five stars and have already recommended to our friends and will be returning ourselves.

This was one of our favorite cabins we have ever stayed in! It was very clean and decorated so cute and cozy. It was located close to town but still had enough privacy and peaceful woods around it. There was an awesome brochure inside with helpful recommendations of things in the area, we even walked to the nearby Nana Falls but be warned the walk back to the cabin is all up hill so we may drive next time. We plan to stay here again, this will ne one of our yearly traditions!

Loved the cabin. Great location. Well stocked and clean. Clever utilization of small space. Love the TR theme too. Only recommendation would be adding a couple of ice trays. Five stars all the way. Thanks.
