Newton is a lovely town just 20 minutes from Boston.
Local Newton Laws:
i. Noise control, including use of audio equipment that may disturb the peace: Between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. no person or persons shall disturb the peace by causing or to be made any unreasonable or excessive noise, including but not limited to such noise resulting from the operation of any electronic device, or from the playing of any band or orchestra, or from the making of excessive outcries, exclamations, or loud singing or any other excessive noise by a person or group of persons. 5 dBA or more. This includes outdoor TV and speakers
ii. Adherence to laws regarding disorderly behavior- Newton prohibits fighting, making threats, engaging in violent or tumultuous behavior, or creating a hazardous or offensive condition without a legitimate purpose.
iii. Proper garbage disposal- behind house in designated bins
iv. Location of parking stalls on the property- Parking is allowed in left side garage and 4 spaces are available in driveway
v. Neighborhood parking regulations and restrictions- overnight parking is not permitted Dec 1 - March 31.
vi. Occupancy limits according to the City’s Zoning Ordinance- 9 persons
