Ideal for a couple

In the center of Thompson Springs ghost town! Quiet and peaceful. This is not for the person who loves rush hour in the big city! There is a Shell station in town and that's it! Bring groceries with you when you come. Moab and Arches National park is about a half hour drive to the south. This place is really all about freedom. If you decide to ride an ATV through Town, nobody bothers you. If you decide to ride your bicycle down old hwy 6 you might pass a car, but chances are you won't.

Second time stay. It was everything I needed. I live in a very urban place so it's really really nice for me to hang out on the porch, grill, drink beers and watch the sunset from my rocking chair. Perfect.

Great place with lots of potential

Overall the accommodation was very clean and comfortable. The only downside is that the main bed needs a new mattress - it has quite a sag in the middle. We enjoyed the location and it's proximity to Canyonlands, Moab and Goblin Valley areas for hiking.

Day NY town of Hadley

Great place

Definitely out of the way. Unit was very clean and adquetly stocked. Make sure you bring all your favorite food because there are no grocery stores. Internet spotty because everyone trying to get online.

Nice if we knew about the train line very close by. Other than that, great place to visit the area.

Very impressed! This was just the quiet cozy getaway that my husband and I were looking for.

My husband and I loved our stay here! It was very clean and stocked with all that we needed. We were looking for something quiet, cozy, and away from it all and that is exactly what we got. We bbqed, watched old movies, had a fire in the fire pit, and explored the surrounding areas. Definitely recommend.

Everyting We Were Hoping For

My husband and I spent a week in this charming, very reasonably priced unit. As other reviewers have stated, the home was immaculate and well supplied with the necessities. It was the perfect size for the 2 of us. It is located about a 1/2 hour drive from the National Parks' entrance gates, Moab, and restaurants/shopping. This wasn't a problem for us. We planned our days so that we could follow up a National Park visit or other area hike/scenic drive with a stop in town for dinner at a restaurant or a quick stop at a grocery store to restock provisions. We were happy to return to our quiet "home away from home" after witnessing the crowds in town!

The Thompson Spring location made it an easy drive to the less visited Goblin Valley, Little Wildhorse Canyon, and Green River. The changing scenery in this part of Utah is amazing! The gentleman who works with Jim is a Moab local and had lots of suggestions for other "Off the Beaten Path" places to visit.

The Dillard RV Park has ATVs available to rent. We were fortunate to be able to arrange a guided tour with Jim. It was one of the highlights of our trip! Both the town of Thompson Springs and Saga Canyon have an amazing history!

We loved our stay in our unit and would definitely book again if we revisit the area. I've been telling everyone (even strangers in Moab) about our wonderful stay. Thanks Jim!!

PS Jim and Sandy have a number of other units in the park (mostly 2 and 3 bedroom if I'm remembering correctly) . Renting a combination of these units would be wonderful for larger groups travelling together.

The one bedroom park model cabin was perfect for the two of us. We started each morning with a pot of coffee, watching the sun rise over the Book Cliffs. We spent a couple of days in the Moab area, a day at Black Canyon of the Gunnison, a day at Goblin State Park, so the unit is convenient to many parks. And the area of Thompson Springs is very quiet. We really enjoyed that! The furniture was comfie, as was the queen sized bed. The unit was nicely equipped and very clean. Both the bedroom and living room has overhead fans, and so we were able to enjoy the fresh air. A pleasant surprise was the quality of the water from Thompson Springs. We had brought bottled water but did not need it at all. We will definitely return!
