Location was great and the room was very cute and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again. We appreciated having a dedicated place to park also. We brought our dog and she had left bowls and treats for her. Very nice touch. The bed was very comfortable. It was perfect for us.

Great location, walkable to beach (very close), and to the historic downtown (farther but easy walk & safe). Small but exactly as described. (I didn’t cook but it had everything you’d need in the kitchen), host communications were clear & easy to follow (to find the garage apt, where to park, what to expect upon arrival), and host had great recommendations all prepared on where to eat & what to do. (I always like a local’s recs.) I would stay here again!

We had a great stay at the carriage house. The house was exactly as described, check in was easy, and owner communicated quickly. We would definitely stay again.

This was a perfect stay for our family during the Christmas holiday! The location is within walking distance to the beach and a short drive from shops/restaurants on The Strand! Natalie is the best host and the house is fully stocked with everything you could need without being cluttered!

Our stay in Galveston was amazing. The VRBO was just perfect for my husband and I. It was thoughtfully decorated and had every amenity needed for a relaxing visit. The location near the beach and restaurants was very helpful. Having a dedicated parking space made everything easy. The bed was very comfortable as well. We also enjoyed being near Broadway Street and totally enjoyed touring 2 historic homes in walking distance. The host was very accommodating and helpful. We totally enjoyed our stay!

I love that its pet friendly. Good location. The cottage is cute and well decorated and stocked with everything you will need for your stay and trip to the beach. The host is very attentive and responds in a flash. Only thing is the mainnphoto on the listing is the back porch of the house that this cottage sits behind. Great stay but probably wouldnt stay in thr summer as the wall unit wouldnt keep me cool enough, I'm AC spoiled

The featured photo does show the back porch area, which is a shared outdoor space that both the main house and the cottage guests are able to enjoy. Many guests love relaxing, grilling or dining there. I also wanted to mention for future guests that the wall unit AC cools the cottage very well during our Galveston summers, but everyone’s comfort preference varies. Modest but clean and everything you would expect to be provided was. Cookware was actually very nice...a pleasant surprise. Kitchen sink was a bit sketchy but functional. Parking and access was good. Host was responsive and left good check-in instructions.The most negative thing I might say is that by the time cleaning fees, etc. were applied, the cost was a little bit higher than I would have expected for a small modest cottage. Location was easy to get to but a bit of a drive to a lot of places. Overall the quality was good.

I’m so glad to hear you found the cottage clean, well-stocked, and that the cookware and check-in experience exceeded expectations. We also appreciate your kind words about communication and access. I did want to add a bit of context on a couple of points for future guests. The kitchen sink is actually a ~150-year-old original wall-mounted piece that we’ve preserved intentionally for its historic charm. It has all new plumbing and a new faucet, but we chose to keep the natural patina as part of the home’s character—something many guests really enjoy as part of staying in a historic property. Regarding pricing, unfortunately, we don’t have control over local taxes, but, we do keep our cleaning fee modest to ensure the home is thoroughly prepared for each stay. The cleanliness is something we pride ourselves on and doing a through clean every time is something we are proud to provide to our guests. We were a bit surprised to hear the location felt less convenient, as the vast majority of our guests specifically highlight it as one of the best parts of their stay—but we understand that preferences can vary depending on plans. Thank you again for staying with us—we’re so glad you enjoyed the overall quality of your visit.
