Preciosa (¡Grande!) Casa del centro histórico - 100 años de gema en la ciudad

NO PUEDE BATIR ESTA UBICACIÓN: una joya rara: experimente la ciudad como un local. Construido en 1907, es una de las casas históricas más grandes que queda en el súper moderno East Side de Austin. Justo en el centro de la ciudad, a solo 2 cuadras de Rainey Street, cafeterías, restaurantes, senderos para caminar / trotar y Town Lake, esta casa cuidadosamente restaurada es un oasis tranquilo con espacio para extenderse. Perfecto para grupos. Pisos de madera de 100 años de antigüedad, amplios porches, paredes originales de solapa, detalles vintage ... ¡es único!

Totalmente restaurado y renovado: 5 dormitorios, 3 baños, mucho espacio para comer y porches cubiertos tanto en la parte delantera como trasera de la casa. Los árboles de pacana dan sombra a los patios, y una cerca moderna personalizada mantiene la privacidad en toda la propiedad. Patio trasero tiene baloncesto, hoyo de maíz y pelota de escalera. Futbolín en el interior.

Los porches sombreados permiten que un grupo se extienda y disfrute del hermoso clima de Texas.

Absolutamente no hay fiestas. Esta es nuestra casa (no solo una casa de alquiler), así que ayúdenos a cuidarla. Todos deben obedecer las reglas de la ciudad, incluido el toque de queda a las 10 p.m.

Excellent property for a girls weekend

The home is perfect for a weekend with friends. It was well stocked with everything we needed, plenty of bedrooms and great outdoor space off the kitchen--and the location was convenient for us to either walk or take a short Uber ride. Definitely recommend.

Perfect for Groups!

We stayed at Shannon's house for a bachelorette and it was PERFECT- location, amenities, layout, the works. Her home is beautifully decorated and outfitted with everything you'd need for a weekend away. Walkable to Lady Bird Trail, Juiceland, Target, Bars, Coffee and more. Would 100% stay here again!

Great place for groups

Our group had a nice stay at Shannon’s place. Check in was smooth, she was very responsive to any questions, and the back yard was great for hanging out and entertaining.

30th Birthday Weekend

Stayed here for my 30th birthday weekend and it was absolutely perfect. Rooms were quiet if people were playing music in the kitchen / living room, comfortable beds, walking distance to 6th st bars, Rainey st! Host communication was awesome, would 100% recommend anyone to stay here!

Thanksgiving in Austin

This really is a charming historic house in Downtown Austin. We were a family of 8 ranging in age from 31 to 70 from around the country meeting for Thanksgiving. There are plenty of bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, and the location was great. We were able to explore much of the city -- mostly on foot -- from this spot. Highly recommend!

Great house in convenient location

This house was amazing for a large group. About a 10-15 minute ride to 6th street and closer to Rainey. Very convenient location and great responsive hosts. The backyard is great for hot weather with lots of shade .

My team stayed here for a team offsite. It was wonderful to have this big space for meetings, breakfast, and sunset drinks. The space is beautiful also and Shannon was incredibly responsive and helpful! Hope to be back next year!

Awesome stay!

I stayed here with a group of 10 women (all in our 40s) for our annual girls trip. The house is fantastic, plenty of room for all of us, and just a very unique, historic home. The location is also great, super close to downtown if you don’t mind walking or a short karaoke-cab ride away. Yes they have karaoke-cabs here! Shannon was very responsive the few times we had a question and the house is well-stocked with anything you need. Would definitely stay again!

A great Friendsgiving in austin

We are 3 friends who went to college together and then moved to different parts of the country. We reunited with our families for a few days during the thanksgiving break. The house was spacious, comfortable and clean. Lots of room for groups to hang out in lots of spaces. We especially loved hanging around the fire pit! Highly recommend!

Moms get away!

Had a great time! plenty of room for 12 of us. clean and kitchen was stocked full. we only wish it was closer to town. Did have to uber everywhere which they did come in a few min every time so wasn't a big deal. Had lots of great memories!

Hmm, I’m not sure how our home could be closer to town. It’s just one block away. We’re right downtown, as close as it gets. Most guests love our house for its location- walkable to Rainey St., E 6th St., dozens of restaurants and bars. The center of downtown has mainly condos, which are illegal to rent out on a short-term basis. Our home is a legal rental, and is located in a thriving area of East downtown Austin. Many places are walkable, and many others are a 5-minute Uber ride to a different section of downtown, SOCO, West downtown, or the Red River district. The closest and walkable sections for us are Rainey St and East downtown. I’m happy that this guest enjoyed our home and her stay, and I wanted to take the time to add information about our location for future guests.

Large Group Stay

Great communication with property manager! House had plenty of room and was very cozy. A couple of minor issues (garbage not being picked up and no where for us to toss garbage, and a leak in the bathroom), but we managed and Shannon was great in helping to accommodate us!

Family trip to Austin

We visited Austin for a wedding and since we had mix of ages with our guest we wanted to stay closer to downtown for restaurants and things to do, and this property was perfect for that! We loved that it was a historical style home but updated and functional. We traveled with little ones ranging from 9 months to 3 years old and there was plenty of space and the home felt safe for our group. The back deck was so nice to hang out and eat as a group. We loved this rental so much, if we go back to Austin we will definitely be returning!

Great for Bachelorettes!

Overall we had a great stay. Positives: Bachelorette drawer with extra supplies!! Lots of space and seating. Comfortable beds. Excellent communication from the host. Really fun outdoor space - though admittedly we did not take advantage because it was so hot. Negatives: There were not parking permits so we had to find street parking which was hit or miss. There were a lot of homeless people in the area so it wasn't as walkable as we were hoping.

Overall decent experience but not exactly what we were expecting- owner was there upon arrival still preparing the home for 45 minutes (check-in was 4pm, we arrived about 4:05pm), not impeccably clean, lots of items broken throughout the home (upstairs shower curtain, bathroom door handle, one of the beds). However the mattresses were very comfy, the ac felt great, the outdoor seating in the back was nice. Overall, nice home for big groups.

I'm so sorry that Alyssa wasn't happy. I met her and her friends upon arrival, and walked them through the home as I usually do, which takes a little time. Everything was ready for them, but they asked me to fix the shower curtain which had fallen (I didn't realize it had fallen down), and that took another 15 minutes or so. For future guests: the shower curtain rod has been fixed and will not fall down, and the bathroom door handle has been fixed as well. Some of our guests were pretty rough on my furniture this spring, and more things had broken than I was aware of that week. They've all been fixed!

This was a very disappointing experience. The house is in a low-level area surrounded by homeless people, both in the back and front of the property, which made us feel uncomfortable and unsafe. Inside, the house was very dirty and smelled like cat. We are allergic, and the host, Shannon, didn’t seem to care when we mentioned it.It looked like someone was living there. There was food in the fridge, including milk and other items that could go bad, clothes in the closets, dirty towels on the bed, and a mop and rag left on the porch. The yard was not maintained; a tree trunk had been cut and left in the yard.The house did not look like the pictures. It was dark, creepy, and poorly maintained. We left after five minutes and went to a hotel because we couldn’t stay due to our allergies. The host admitted there was a cat but never informed us before booking.I have used Vrbo many times and never had a bad experience before, but this one was beyond disappointing. This property should not be listed in its current condition.
