This spot was absolutely wonderful! The cabin was spotlessly clean, fresh, comfortable, and incredibly well cared for. From the moment we walked in, it felt welcoming and relaxing.The setting is beautiful—the view of the lake and surrounding countryside is gorgeous, peaceful, and exactly what we were hoping for after spending the day out exploring. The location was also perfect for our trip. We were close enough to Fort Scott to enjoy the historic sites and downtown, while also having easy access to Kansas Rocks Recreation Park for off-roading.The beds and furnishings were comfortable, the cabin had everything we needed, and it was obvious that a lot of thought and care goes into making guests feel at home. We especially appreciated being able to come back after a long day on the trails to somewhere so quiet, clean, and comfortable.Hammond Hideaway is a hidden gem in southeast Kansas. Whether you're coming for the history, off-roading, or just looking for a peaceful place to get away, this is an excellent choice. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it!
