The house fit our family very well and the location was lovely. The porches were great, the kitchen was very open and worked well for cooking our Thanksgiving meal, the beds were very comfortable and the outdoor shower was great. The outdoor shower could use a good overhead light as you could not see well out there after dark. A few things to address would be the functioning of the dishwasher as it did not wash the dishes well. Also, the dryer needs an extensive cleaning of the interior for lint build up. The floors had not been vacuumed very well as there was lots of pet hairs on the floors and baseboards. I would recommend this house to a family of 6 adults and 3 kids!!!

Property was clean (a big thing for me) and was just as described in the listing. Plenty of plates, bowls, silverware in the kitchen as well as a good coffee pot, and things to cook with. We cooked most nights. We enjoyed the screened in porch, the big table for playing games. The house was roomy and the furniture was nice. It was also nice to be on a quiet street as we had dogs and didn't have to worry about being right on the main road if a dog accidentally ran out the door.

Relaxation

The house is beautiful and very accommodating for 5 adults, a baby and a dog. All of the decks off the rooms were so lovely in the mornings. We had a small issue with the AC not working downstairs and they had someone come to fix it within the hour which was much appreciated! Outdoor shower was perfect after a day at the beach, which is a five minute walk from the house. We liked that this area is pretty quiet and peaceful and then the boardwalk and activities at Carolina Beach are just a quick drive down the road. Lots of good restaurants there. Honestly couldn’t ask for more! We’ll definitely be back next year!

A perfect place for our family reunion

I chose this place for my husband's extended family--> a stressful job! I was so excited when we got arrived. Everyone was impressed and we had a great time. The many porches were amazing...so many places to hang out together and we loved the seating areas inside. The kitchen was very well stocked. I was also relieved by how good the air conditioning was: we were there in a heat wave and we were all so grateful for the climate inside the house. I also was super impressed with how organized and helpful the hosts were. Easy to get in contact with and all the information we needed.

Christmas at the Beach

The weather was perfect and with the beach just across the road, we were able to carry chairs and enjoy the sun in the 65 degree warmth. Tranquility Base is always very clean, and ready for us upon our arrival. We always enjoy returning.

Great Place to Stay

We enjoyed the quick access to Kure Beach, Fort Fisher, and restaurants. The screened in porch was perfect for eating takeout.

Tranquility Base Stay

This was my family's 5th time staying at Tranquility Base at Kure Beach, and everything at the house was great! It ended up being a very rainy weekend, but we were able to have a relaxing time staying indoors at the house. Due to the storm that came through, on the day we were leaving we were stuck due to flooding and the hosts were very flexible with us and allowed us to stay until we could get on the roads which was amazing since we were traveling with a pup and 6-month old baby. Our stays here have always been great and they always responded to us very quickly which we appreciated very much!

Best Place to Stay in Kure Beach!

Me and a group of friends stayed at this amazing house for a long weekend during 4th of July week. This house provided everything we needed and more. It was so spacious for me and my 12 friends. Also the wagons, beach chairs, and water floats came in handy for our beach days! 10/10 recommended.

This was an amazing house to stay in

This is a great house to stay in. We spent 6 nights with 11 of us. Every age group had a blast. Constant comunication with host if we needed anything. If you book this house, you will not be disappointed. 5 minute walk to the public beach access.

Tranquility Base

I must say the name of this home says it all! We are not one to be around a lot of people and usually come down and stay out on Fort Fisher 4 wheel drive beach everyday. This home is away from it all and even during Memorial Day weekend, we felt like we were the only one's on the island while at Tranquility Base. It's very spacious and had so much more than we would ever use. Ample parking (my husband's 2500 PowerWagon fit under the garage). Communication was on point with the rental company. Although we didn't experience any issues during our stay, they made sure we knew we could reach out to them anytime. We will stay again!

Beach Retreat

Overall, our stay at this property was fantastic. All the facilities were as advertised and clean. The location is premium and close to all local attractions. The home is beautifully decorated. However, some decor items are fragile and are within reach of little hands. We had to move the fragile decor in reach of our little ones and place it back when checking out. Other than this, this location is the perfect family getaway. We had fun and the house was great for our group (two infants, 3 children, a teenager and several adults). The property is well stocked and we look forward to making this location our home away from home. Thank you!

Beautiful, clean and plenty of privacy

Perfect rental for our family group! The only downside is it’s a little walk to the beach access but the privacy is worth it.

Tranquility Bliss

Easy check in Sunday evening, very nice, clean, well furnished house with plenty of space for our family of 10. Easy walk to beach access, and it isn’t right on the main drag. We really enjoyed our five day trip. Worth the 9 hour ride to get here.

Tranquility base was the perfect house for the entire family for our vacation! We were so comfortable. There was plenty of space to relax. Being able to take our two Golden Retrievers was a plus! The beach access was a 5-10 minute walk based on the speed. We got used to it. The only thing better would be if the house was on the beach with direct access. Overall a great place to stay!

Great stay!

The house was wonderful and the location was fantastic. It was close to everything including the beach with a short walk. We enjoyed all the porches of the house and when our ice machine wasn’t working, it was serviced quickly. The house was well equipped and comfortable. Highly recommend!

What an amazing place for large (and small) families to get together an enjoy each others company in a very comfortable and quiet setting. The home was clean and welcoming, the location was perfect and Kure beach is an amazing place. The 4x4 beach was a hit and so were the long walks in Fort Fisher State Recreation area. We had a blast. We keep on coming

This is our 4th time coming to Tranquility Base. The only "problem" is that we can never stay as long as we like! Love the fully stocked kitchen. So much space to spread out both inside and out. This was the first time we had a second family come with, and it went without a hitch.
