On a holiday in 2003… time flies :-) … while staying in a holiday home in Catalonia, we developed a very good relationship with the owner, Mónica. One thing led to another, and eventually we agreed to help her rent out the house to other international guests.
It soon turned out that some of her neighbours were also renting out authentic holiday homes with swimming pools.
With these houses, we started SydensFeriehuse (later followed by CataloniaHolidayLettings, MaisonsDeVacancesCatalogne, NordSpanienFerienhauser and CasasRuralesEnCataluña), and over the years we have visited many wonderful places in Catalonia. Today we represent around 400 handpicked, authentic holiday homes.
As a small agency, we have always used places like VRBO / FeWoDirect / Abritel and other platforms to gain more attention.
I will be very happy to answer any question that you might have, charing my experience with the holiday homes and Catalonia in general.

Why they chose this property
To tease our French guests a bit, we call Catalonia "the sunny side of the Pyrenees"—the steep mountains create a wonderful climate. Catalonia is easy to love, and the people are warm and friendly, not least our property owners, who feel more like friends now.
As a holiday destination, it's fantastic. From a comfortable holiday home with a pool and all the amenities, you can explore mountains, Mediterranean beaches, wine country, charming towns with local markets, countless restaurants, and outdoor activities like cycling, hiking, and padel. And of course there's Barcelona—easy to reach as a day trip wherever you're based.
