This space is a stylish house within a commercial setting. It is decorated in a 50s modern eclectic thrift store theme with an eye for minimalism and a sense of roominess and multiple hang-out areas.
The living room features an area to relax with a modern Italian design couch and chairs with room to flow, watch TV and even lay out yoga mats.
The open floor plan connect the living room and kitchen with a small counter lined in reclaimed barn siding wood.
The kitchen offers a large fridge, country style double sink and stove/oven and stainless steel dishwasher, a six person built-in breakfast nook featuring an antique table top and a reclaimed rustic wood column and chandelier.
Full size front loading washer and dryer just off the kitchen.
Two bedrooms, each with queen size mattress bed and large closet.
You will have access to the whole house, a brick floor patio with an orange tree shade and a rustic, 6 person outdoor table with Italian chairs and the alley side parking area.
Note: There is a separate access art studio building on the property that is not accessible to guests.
As a courtesy, at least two rolls of toilet paper will be provided to start you out on your stay. Along with shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, dish soap & laundry detergent.
These will not be replenished during your stay, they are to let you relax before you go to the store and stock up your private guest house! :-)
It's an $1M house that for guests from other cities may not appear so. it is an old house that is not fully renovated with new paint and has some run-down aspects. When we fully renovate it, it will list at $300 per night instead of the 125-175 it lists for now. I thought it would be nice to leave it as a more economical alternative for travelers that want a whole house that allows pets.
Note: House items are subject to replacement with comparable items (serves the same function) without being updated in listing.

Great location to universal studios. Cozy place for a family to stay on a budget while still offering comforts of home. Loved the outside patio for breakfast.
House worked well for us, no issues. If you have a vehicle any larger than a full sized pickup it won't fit in parking area. Mine fit, but was tight! Thanks again!

Liked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Disliked: Location
The place is an intersection of funky and street art. For me, the best was that we could bring our 3 little dogs on our mini vacation and that was highly appreciated. While this guest house has everything you need for a stay, in my opinion, it needs a little bit of tender loving care, overall. I know pet owners can be sometimes irresponsible and hence, the reason for not tending better to the details, but there are some things that need attention: The mattress of the bedroom across the bathroom is extra soft, and may need replacement. The stove fan and light push buttons are super high ( you need to be tall enough to reach them) and the toilet is too close to the bathroom wall and your have to sit sideways to use it (suitable for shorter persons). There’s a nice wooden table outside where you can have dinner or the morning coffee. And there’s coffee, tea, and spices for cooking in the rental!
I knew the property was under renovation when I booked it, so that did not surprise me and, actually, was not off putting. I didn't realize that there was no place for my dogs to do their "dooty". Thankfully, there was a dog park just a few minutes away to take them to. Unfortunately, the shower didn't work although the property manager came right over to attempt to fix. The gate to the parking area and the size of the parking area were the difficulties. I would not have fit into the parking area if I had had my full size SUV, my minivan was a tight fit. Happy my dogs were large so they couldn't squeeze through the gate if left slightly ajar. It took a lot of effort to get the gate to completely close in order to latch it while the dogs were on the property. Very appreciative that the dogs were able to stay for free.
