Can Lledo es única - moderna, amplia y con espacio abierto, además conserva muchos de sus acabados originales. Ubicada a una altura de 400 m sobre el nivel del mar, esta casa ofrece increíbles vistas panorámicas. La propiedad tiene un área de 54 acres con hermosos jardínes, una piscina infinita maravillosa y muchos senderos naturales para explorar. El interior es elegante y moderno y todas las habitaciones fueron amuebladas delicadamente. En la planta superior hay 4 habitaciones dobles (1 con terraza) y 1 habitación para niños con literas. En la planta inferior hay una habitación doble con camas gemelas. Todas las habitaciones tienen cuartos de baño. La zona de estar tiene una cocina abierta ben equipada y un comedor para 12 personas. Junto a la cocina hay un lavadero. Junto a la sala de televisión está el cuarto de juego, el cual tiene mesa de ping-pong, fútbolito y dardos. La cocina se comunica con un comedor al aire libre con parrilla junto a la piscina.

Picture Perfect

This has been the staycation of a lifetime for a large family gathering. Spacious, well thought out and incredibly comfortable. Parker is the best caretaker we have ever come across. He was charming and helpful and showed us around, but did not intrude. We loved the outside seating area and the chance to relax. The property has everything that you could ever want, and it was very clean throughout. The views are breathtaking and we felt so secluded and peaceful. We didn’t venture out - why would you when you have everything within the property?

Wat een uitzicht

We hadden een prettig verblijf in de villa, die heel ruim was. De weg ernaar toe is wel een uitdaging met een steile bergrit en een spannende zandweg. In de advertentie stond wel dat er een gym was, maar die was niet aanwezig. Voor de rest was alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd. Het zwembad bracht de perfecte verkoeling na een partijtje tennis. Het terrein was perfect onderhouden. Mooie kamers met aangrenzende badkamer waardoor je veel privacy hebt. De keuken was mega goed uitgerust met heel veel materiaal. Jammer genoeg konden we door het algemeen brandgevaar in de regio niet BBQ-en. Maar dit was enkel voor je eigen veiligheid. De communicatie met de uitbaatster verliep heel erg vlot. Zeker een aanrader als je van complete rust houdt en op zoek bent naar stilte en natuur.

Family vacation at Can Lledo

This is a gorgeous home with amazing property and amenities. It is impossible to list all the extra features that make it special. Their caretaker (Parker) is a joy to work with. There were some challenges: power going out several times, flies and hornets, and the long and windy road to get to and from the property. It is worth all of that for this spectacular home, gorgeous pool and tennis court, trampoline, etc. etc. Perfect for a large family.

Incredible house for the perfect holiday

This place was really great - it's a beautiful house which is very well maintained, offering great entertainment for kids (games, trampoline, lot of space, pool) and adults (lounge, tennis court, etc.). The location gives a lot of privacy and incredible views and outlook. Great interaction and quick reply by the owner and well supported by house keeper on the ground. Thanks - amazing place i would recommend to larger families and groups!

Amazing week in Can Lledo

We rented this fabulous villa as a group of 11 (3 families) and cannot speak highly enough of the whole experience. Great communication in advance from the hosts. Arrival was super easy with a very warm welcome from Parker (and Simba!). Its a really special house and we felt at home straight away. Really spacious and well equipped. Amazing grounds and we all loved the pool, tennis court, tree house and just generally exploring the extensive grounds. The surrounding area is fascinating and we took trips to Girona, Figueres, Monells and to the beach of Sant Pol which was a big hit with the kids especially. Finished our stay off with a trip to Cadaqués to complete the Dali experience - well worth a visit. Thank you for letting is stay at your beautiful home - we hope very much to come back !!!

A Stunning home with stunning views

It is not often anywhere I go exceeds my expectations, ESPECIALLY with children... but Can Lledo did just that. It was the perfect getaway with (or would be amazing without) kids. I can’t think of the last time I was so relaxed and enjoyed myself... it was definitely before children. It was just that, it was an actual Getaway. The views were incredible, the food and cava were even better than I had anticipated. It is paradise. I stopped several times throughout my stay to just enjoy the view. Everything is absolutely stunning. Can Lledo is a fabulous house with enough space to really spread out if you needed. Great for entertaining or separating the adults from the kids. It’s an amazingly thought out home. I am not one to ever write a review, so this should explain just how marvellous Can Lledo is for any kind of holiday you are looking for. Photos can’t do it justice.

Private Villa With Amazing Views!

Every area of the home offers a unique experience. The large kitchen has all you need to cook for a large or small group. If you don’t like to cook the owner can arrange for an excellent Chef to cook fabulous meals for you. We had wonderful dinners prepared for our family of 7 each night. In the mornings we had our breakfast and coffee at the outside dining table on the patio while we viewed the countryside and sea in the distance. Each bedroom is large and has its own bathroom. The outdoor spaces of the house are picturesque and neatly maintained. There is a very helpful groundskeeper who checked on us daily to make sure the pool was perfect and see if we needed anything. There are many sights to see in the area but there is so much you can do at the house. From the indoor game room to the outdoor pool and tennis court this house is fantastic. The owner is truly a joy to work with, very helpful and reply’s promptly to all questions.

A luxury villa and grounds in stunning landscape

We, a family with a two-year old and a group of friends, had an absolutely wonderful week at Can Lledo. Things started well, when we discovered how close to Girona airport the house is - barely a 25-minute drive down empty roads. It made the journey from the door to door very quick and even if the tracks near the house are a bit bumpy, this is well worth it to drive into the heart of such stunning, wild, rugged, landscape. And Girona airport itself is so tiny that even a dawn flight home wasn't stressful, as there were no check-in queues. The villa itself has been lovingly and carefully designed and constructed, using really high quality materials and with a beautiful flow which means that lots of people can stay and have privacy in their own rooms and bathrooms, while also coming together in the communal spaces - kitchen, games room, pool, chill-out terrace - for convivial days and nights. Each bedroom has its own special feel, view and style of bathroom, and is equipped with properly comfortable mattresses and high quality bed linen. The water pressure and supply in the bathrooms is excellent, and the unobtrusive air conditioning was a life-saver on some of the stickier nights. We got a few mosquito bites in the evenings, but then we weren't religious about spraying ourselves, and I've had far worse in much less idyllic surroundings. Of course this place is more than just a beautiful house. It has a really good sized pool, in which you can swim lengths as well as just muck about, and a very well designed shallow stepped end which our toddler loved. The views from the pool are unbelievably beautiful, and the outdoor pre-pool shower even has a hot setting! There are lots of other bits to the estate to explore and enjoy, too. Down the hill from the house is a fantastic tree-house hidey-place, tennis court, trampoline, and wooded walks, which mean that you really could spend a good deal of your time here without needing to escape. We did make some day-trips to some lovely nearby medieval hill-towns and beaches, which were easy to get to and offered good eating and drinking. But really, you could dig in for a week here and not miss urban life at all. The whole place is beautifully maintained by the lovely groundsman Parker and his friendly, gentle dogs, and was unobtrusively and efficiently cleaned mid-week. We could not recommend this spot more highly for a relaxing, luxurious, tranquil and fun break for a family or extended group!

VERY DISAPPOINTING

We are two families who stayed at Can Lledo for a week in August 2018. The access to the villa is via a very steep downhill `dirt track` of around a car`s width and a kilometre long which was in a dreadful condition. Too many large rocks, `potholes`, uneven surfaces with a number of hairpin bends with sheer drops of hundreds of feet down the mountain on alternate sides. If we had been informed beforehand about this, we would either have not booked the villa or at least hired more suitable cars... like 4x4s with full insurance cover. As a result of this, we did not venture out in the evenings, not wishing to risk a return to the villa in the dark, although both drivers very experienced. There were other problems which spoiled two days out of the six days of our holiday. On the Wednesday we were told by the groundsman that maintenance workers were coming in the afternoon to `De-bug` the grounds. This meant we could not use the pool or the grounds/outdoor facilities for about four hours. On Friday (our last day) another team of gardeners arrived with power `hedge-trimmers`. The noise was deafening. We complained to the groundsman who advised the owners were arriving the next day and he had to get the villa ready for them. We of course were paying guests and we told him we felt he should have got workers in on the changeover day...Saturday. Another afternoon was spoiled. The owner had advised before our trip that the groundsman would be at the villa once each morning to check the pool and grounds. He actually was at the villa frequently three/four times a day and the owner did not mention until after we had paid for the rental that he would be accompanied by two huge dogs, one an Alsatian, the other an Alsatian/Husky cross. These followed him everywhere (including one day into our bedroom and en-suite when he was fixing a problem with the sink). Sometimes the dogs would venture into the villa on their own. Although these huge dogs were well behaved, they made a few of our party nervous. The property itself was very nice but the problems with the dirt-track and the maintenance crews spoiling two afternoons, prevented this holiday being exceptional, which we had hoped it would be.

Gorgeous, spacious house in stunning surroundings

We had a wonderful stay at Can Lledo. The position is breathtaking with views down to the coast, and the house and surroundings are excellent. Plenty of space for our family group, and lots of activities - tennis, trampolining, exploring and best of all, the pool. The house has everything you need for a wonderful stay, including really good entertaining spaces. One of the best houses we have ever stayed in. Looking forward to returning.

A Wonderful Holiday Destination

We had the most fabulous 4 days here. The house is wonderful and lends itself to having a great time. The children played in the pool for hours and then went on adventures in the afternoons to the tree house, tennis court, trampoline and found fossils and frogs. There are huge entertaining areas, a lawn for croquette, and the views are incredible. Also if you are a keen cyclist my husband said it’s one of the best places in the world to cycle.

The Most Beautiful Place....

We have stayed here 3 times now and every holiday has been amazing. The views are breathtaking, the pool is brilliant for both small and big children and the house lends its self to being both social and also having separate areas. We had a chef one evening that came and cooked giant prawns and squid on the bbq that the owners arranged for us - I would highly recommend this! What a wonderful house to stay in that I cannot recommend highly enough.

A perfect holiday setting.

Having recently returned from a wonderful holiday to Can Lledo my lasting impression is of the beautiful setting. Nestled high in the hills of a beautiful forest It offers spectacular views looking over the unspoilt catalan countryside, right down to the ocean. It has been landscaped beautifully with a herb garden, lemon trees and lavender and poppies cascade the hills, attracting a swarm of beautiful butterflies. Within the farmhouse all the rooms are light and modern, maintaining a stylish character and all have large windows ensuring the beautiful views are there on display. We stayed here with 7 small children and everyone was able to enjoy the amazing facilities. From an infinity pool, to a tennis court, to a tree house, to a trampoline, to an amazing games room, to lovely little secluded areas ,there were ideal holiday activities for all ages. A perfect holiday setting.

Beautiful, spacious property in the hills, perfect for families.

We had such a lovely week at Canlledo.Stunning location, and a very well appointed villa, perfect for multiple families with kids. The information folder was very detailed and accurate. We had a fab day at a water park, at the beach, and in Girona, all within a half an hour drive of the property. There is a lot to explore within the region, but we were equally happy to just hang by the pool and play tennis while the kids went hunting for snakes and crickets! We would happily return to both the house and the region.

Wonderful family vacation

My family and I had an amazing time at Can Lledo. The host, Nicola, was very responsive providing valuable information about the house and suggestions that made the vacation perfect for our family. Similarly, the caretaker, Parker, was a great resource for local information and we looked forward to his daily visits to check in. The house kept everyone happy and we all feel a bit guilty we didn't explore the area more, but nobody wanted to leave the house. Our two young kids played tennis, swam in the pool, explored the grounds, and wore themselves out on the trampoline each day. The location of the house is a bit off the beaten path but the views are well worth the effort and Girona and the coast are extremely accessible. We definitely hope to be back someday.

Amazing villa in a beautiful setting!

Before we arrived in Spain we had received such helpful tips, information and advice from the home owner Nicola, she is an absolute pleasure to do business with. When we arrived at the villa we were met by the lovely Parker who showed us around and helped us with any questions we had. Once we entered the villa we were so excited at how beautiful and big the house was, the pictures on the site really dont do it justice. We were all blown away at how beautifully designed the villa was, it had the rustic charm of the farmhouse exterior but had a luxurious, modern interior with a well stocked kitchen, having everything we could possibly need made it such a joy to cook with a glass of wine in the evenings once the children were in bed. A few evenings we used the BBQ area away from the house which also has a small kitchen and ate down there which was beautifully lit by fairy lights. As we were sharing the villa with four other couples and four children it was a real bonus to have so many areas to use that it never ever felt cramped. The layout is very well thought out. My husband loved using the tennis courts nearby, I loved using the pool and going for walks with my son, infact there was so much to do that you could just stay and relax at the villa without having to leave. We received tips from Nicola about where to shop, eat, visit and everything was very easy to find and conveniently located. A few of our party went to the beach, a Salvador Dali Museum and Michelin starred restaurants, which i would recomend you book well in advance. The food and inexpensive good wine in this area was a real highlight of our trip. We organised a chef to come to the villa one evening to cook for all ten of us and a great time was had by all. We had such a wonderful time away making some very special memories with family and friends, I highly recommend this property. We travel lots and have never wanted to revisit a property or area but we will be back. Can Lledo is a very special place.

We are a married couple Nicola and Nicholas, both english, with 4 gorgeous boys between us, and a sausage dog. I grew up in London and Nicholas in Hampshire. I am a teacher and author, and Nicholas works in finance. We fell in love with the concept of the house and area when we first met 10 years ago. I speak Spanish and Nicholas had experience in property design, and we took it from there! It was amazing seeing the old ruin turn into the stunning villa it is today, and we have loved adding on to it year after year... the pool, games area, tennis court, terraced land, extending walking routes, building the chill out area, etc etc. We think the area is a unique and special secret too...the evergreen mixed with palm trees, the picture perfect nearby towns each centred around a church, the poppy or sunflower filled fields, the beaches that either stretch for miles of sand, or are tucked away coves with incredible restaurants. I could go on! But it really is an area of the world that has something very special about it. We love our house Can Lledo, and we love the area, and Catalunya, and hope you have a fabulous holiday here too.

The house has an incredible location, with extensive views over the hills down to the coast. It is nestled in the hills and feels a million miles from anywhere, and yet you can be in the local town in less than 15 minutes, and at the beach in 25 minutes. Once at the house it can be hard to leave though..there is so much to do there whether you want to stay by the pool all day, play tennis, hike around the land, enjoy the indoor games room, trampoline with the children, play boules or badminton, or just chill with a glass of wine and watch the world go by - all be it butterflies and birds! The sense of peace you feel when you arrive at the house is so rare to find in life (especially for us as Londoners) and you really can feel your whole body relax. The sunrises will blow you away, and the sun sets behind the house, so you don't get the glorious reds pinks and purples of the dawn, but the twinkly lights of the coast provide a picturesque end to the day.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We have designed the house to retain its original farmhouse exterior and features, and yet made it open plan, modern and spacious. Using large windows was seen as am impractical thing to do as traditional 'masias' are built with small windows to retain heat in the winter, and keep the house cool in the summer. Yet with views like that we knew we had to maximise the opportunity to see them! So that element adds to the wonderful feel of the house - wherever you are inside, you can see the hills. Unless you're in the TV room, which we designed to be cosy, cool, and away from the sunlight!
The design of the swimming pool, and its position, again allows you to fully maximise those incredible views, with an infinity pool feel, and decking.

The house and land feels very spacious, and the children can be playing in the games room, without disturbing the adults outside...or a group on the tennis court while another group sits by the pool... or you can all be together! Each bedroom is uniquely decorated, and has its own feel. All 6 bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom, which means that you never feel on top of each other, and have your own privacy.
