We loved staying at this property! The home sits on such a beautiful and charming street in Old Town, a short walk from the river. The furnishings were impeccable with an especially cozy living room and extremely comfortable beds. Our host was always quick to respond and very helpful with tips for getting around town.We would love to stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful historic home in Alexandria! The house was well decorated and very clean, with lots of character throughout. Amy is a fantastic host! She is so thoughtful, and she does a great job at being available to her guests. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this home!

This is a great place to stay. The host is amazing with communication. The townhouse has all kinds of daily necessities. So much to do close by. Highly recommend staying here.

Great location. Beautiful historic home. Steep steps to upper floors, beware if you have elderly or disabled guests. Would highly recommend and would stay there again.

I can't say enough good things about the host and the house. The communication was great from the start, very helpful with questions about the area, etc. The house is very old and cool and fit our family of 5 very well. It's walkable to fun stuff in town, and an easy drive to anything in the District as well. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house or book for my family again! Thanks so much!

We stayed at Hayden House while traveling w/ another couple, for a visit to DC, and found Hayden House to be an excellent location and experience.Old Towne Alexandria is a lovely area; quaint and historic; not too loud/busy; but also plenty of restaurants and shops to enjoy, and this home was in a great location for all that. Very close to the water/waterfront park; about 3 blocks from King Street (main road for restaurants/shops); 2 coffee shops within 3 blocks or less made for lovely mornings. We walked from the property to the Metro station each day (Metro yellow line is a straight shot and 15-ish minute ride to L'Enfant station on the Mall). That walk is about 1.2 miles and took us 25-30 minutes; a beautiful walk. Obviously you can Uber to the station if preferred.The house itself was clean and well-appointed. Old/historic in all the charming ways; bathrooms updated (kitchen too; though on this trip we did not cook at the property). Comfy beds. Plenty of hot water w/ everyone showering in the mornings.Owner (Amy) was extremely easy to coordinate with.Great spot.

We love it for its proximity to the Potomac River, its historical charm, the surrounding parks, and its location just steps from King Street’s shopping and restaurants. Old Town Alexandria is a quaint port village with great restaurants and shopping, wonderful parks, and amazing historical landmarks with years and years of history.
