La maison est de construction rĂ©cente et d’architecture dans le style « Alentejano » avec sa piscine privĂ©e ,entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e de haut standing,TV,WIFI.

La maison se compose de 3 grandes chambres et de 2 salles de bains (1 double avec salle de bains, 1 double et 1 simple partageant une salle de bains séparée).

La cuisine est ouverte sur la salle Ă  manger et le salon qui donnent sur une grande terrasse extĂ©rieure couverte oĂč vous pourrez dĂ©guster un bon barbecue « alfresco » tout en apprĂ©ciant la vue de ce paysage magnifique et bucolique.

Ouverte et aĂ©rĂ©e pour les beaux jours d’étĂ©. Chaleureuse avec son foyer au bois et son chauffage au sol pour les douces nuits d’hiver.

PerchĂ©e sur sa colline et nichĂ©e dans les chĂȘnes-liĂšges, la maison surplombe ce beau paysage, qui vous rĂ©veillera joyeusement au chant des grillons , des oiseaux et des lointains tintements des clochettes des moutons.

Vous profiterez des sublimes couchers de soleil en vous prélassent sur la terrasse par une chaude nuit d'été , puis une promenade ou un bain de minuit , sous un ciel étoilé brillant de mille feux ou à la lueur de la pleine lune.

Pour le cÎté pratique, il est important de noter que nous sommes en campagne ,donc une voiture est essentielle.

Nous sommes situĂ©s Ă  environ 1 Âœ heure en voiture des aĂ©roports internationaux de Lisbonne ou de Faro.

Nous sommes prÚs du petit village de São Domingos, avec toutes les commodités de base, petits cafés, bar, restaurant, supérette, boulangerie et pharmacie.

Le Sud-Ouest portugais est "LA "destination de plus en plus prisée des amoureux de la nature, des vacances en famille, des activités nautiques, avec ses plages spectaculaires, ses villages balnéaire ravissants, les sentiers pédestres ou VTT de la Costa Vicentina,
et ses villes historiques de Santiago do CacĂ©m, Beja et Évora.

Tout cela en savourant de merveilleux vin, la tradition culinaire locale, des produits frais du cru et bien sure la douceur de vivre alentejana!

Perfect house for 2 couples

Stay was perfect, due to swimmingpool it is very relaxing stay.There is room enough for 2 couples both have there own bed and bathroom.It is remote, quiet, and a good place for watching the stars at night.We will book this again in the future.

What a wonderful property - peaceful, secluded with gorgeous views. The pool is really nice and the (long) terrace immediately outside the house is in shade the whole day, with a large table and chairs and sofa seating.The grill area was well used and it was lovely to watch the sun going down before the stars came out.The inside is very well arranged with everything you could need and plenty of space for everyone. What a thoughtfully designed place this is (and very clean and without any chintz!). Shutters, double-glazing and insect doors on every opening meant we could keep the place cool (and silent) and we didn’t have one fly inside the whole time!We loved the surrounding area - seemingly off the tourist trail yet a 30 minute drive from the busier coast.Lovely owners who met us and were on hand if necessary but absolutely unobtrusive (they live in a nearby property).Just perfect!

Lovely house with beautiful views

The house is in a lovely setting and is well designed to make the most of the view. It is well equipped with lots of storage. The owners were very friendly & responsive, and provided a lovely welcome pack. My son loved swimming (particulary at night) and my husband borrowed a bike to explore the cycling trails. There are some beautiful beaches within a 30 minute drive and some lovely restaurants in the area. All very relaxing!

Beautiful villa in tranquil setting

The villa is lovely and very well appointed, the pictures do not do justice as to how lovely the villa is. Everything was spotlessly clean, the kitchen very well equipped, and very thoughtful gestures in terms of what is in the villa for guests use. We made good use of the good sized pool. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this lovely villa, the tranquil setting was so very relaxing with only the sound of the sheep and their bells. Sue and Paddy were very welcoming, available but not at all intrusive. Thank you both, we had a wonderful relaxing time.

Amazing and fully-equipped villa in a wonderful quiet place

What to say : Perfect ! Excellent ! The best rent we ever had (and we had a lot... ;)). Sue and Pat were so nice and available if needeed, they welcomed us with huge smiles, kind words and tasting food (bread, eggs, butter, beer, wine...). The villa is amazing, high standard, everything is provided and more ! It's so quiet and the view is absolutely breathtaking... during the daylight or sunsets... To sum up : perfect ! We aready to go back there next summer !

A magnificent place

We were at Estrela do Cerro for 3 weeks. The house is absolutely very luxury and comfortable with everything you need available. The owners treated us very friendly with respect for our privacy. When there was a small problem we could always contact them and they tried to help us. The view from the house is absolutely magnificent. We loved it so much! The place is also very peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the swimmingpool and really felt at home. Thank you, Sue and Patrick for such a nice holiday.

A fantastic fortnight in Portugal

We really enjoyed our stay! The house location is very peaceful and relaxing but with a car there are many interesting towns and villages to visit within half an hour or so of driving or alternatively at about 2 hours away we found Lisbon easy to access and a joy to visit. The house is half hour from a lovely section of coastline with lots of lovely sandy beaches in amongst the cliffs. The swimming pool is great - I think we used it every day. To anyone wanting a holiday away from the busy Algarve area I would recommend this house unreservedly. In fact we already want to return. Ian & Nicki (&K)

Wonderful

What a wonderful holiday we had here at this stunning house in such beautiful countryside. At total escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life but still within walking distance of shops , little cafes and only a half hour drive to fantastic beaches. Everything was even better than we had imagined, the owners are by far the best hosts we have ever stayed with, they went out of their way to help with anything we needed and their attention to detail and thoughtful little touches are evident everywhere around the property. The house is very spacious, we were four adults and all could find a quiet spot when needed. The house, pool and outdoor areas are all spotless and everything is of the highest quality and standard...most definitely 5 stars and more. Thank you both for a truly wonderful holiday in your beautiful wee piece of paradise x

In the heart of the country

Everything about our stay was better than I could have hoped for. The house is so well designed and comfortable and Sue has provided so thoughtfully for everything you may need. I like to be away from the crowd when I am on holiday and staying here, you certainly have peace and solitude . It may be worth bringing some food with you as the nearest large supermarket is quite a drive ,though there is a small village about 10 mins by car. There are beaches, restaurants and shops in Puerto Nova and Villa Milfontes which are within an hours driving ,but some days we were more than happy to stay in the villa relaxing and making the most of the pool. Paddy and Sue are always there but not intrusive in any way , I would definitely return and wish I was still there !

An outstanding Lower Alentejan offering in a spectacular location

What a privilege and delight to start my 55th road cycling season as a Canadian in Europe. In 26 European vacations for multi week independent cycling vacations the Star of the Hills
..Sue and Patrick’s remarkable rural Sao Domingos villa was an outstanding 5 star experience
true to the name of the home. Situated 2 km south of Sao Domingos on 40 acres of classic Alentejo scenery you will be treated to a very high standard home, incredibly spacious with spectacular views. Fit and finish of the home, amenities, phenomenal level of communication and care make this a rarity in the Iberian Peninsula. It would be in the top 5% of the 150+ bookings I have done over the 25 years in Europe vacations to support our cycling forays. Proximity to delightful rural museums in Sao Domingos and Abela, significant Roman ruins in Santiago do Cacem and phenomenal natural beaches at Almograve make this a most compelling property. The high standards and care are evident the minute you engage with Sue and Patrick. Far from the tourist hordes of the Algarve or the supposed must see “attractions” of Lisboa and Porto lies what arguably is the heart and soul of Portugal

Alentejo. Many Portuguese folks would agree. The Alentejo has it all and Estrela do Cerro
the star of the hills exemplifies what we love about independent self planned travel in Europe.

A peaceful retreat with a taste of the real Portugal

We have just spent a fabulous week in the peace and quiet of this lovely property. It is extremely well equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable stay and is enclosed in its own grounds with electric gates. It is set in a rural location with beautiful views over the countryside and is completely private yet not isolated as the property owners live only a short distance away. It was very warm during our stay so we made good use of the lovely pool to keep us cool during the day and the ceiling fans kept us cool at night. The village of Sao Domingos is only five minutes away and has a small supermarket where you can buy most of the essentials. There are also three large supermarkets in Santiago do Cacem which is an easy 20 minute car ride away. All the roads in the area we found to be in excellent condition and have very little traffic. The cottage is equipped with two good quality bicycles which we made use of most mornings, cycling either into the village or using the trails which go directly from the gates and extend for miles into the unspoilt countryside - it was a real bonus! The coast is only a 30 minute drive away where you can find glorious beaches which are untouched by tourism. We particularly liked the small seaside town of Porto Covo which had a few gift shops and restaurants and was about as touristy as it got. This is an immaculate property, spotlessly clean, fully equipped to a high standard, with welcoming owners and we would highly recommend it. Thank you Sue & Patrick for letting us stay in your wonderful cottage..

Douceur dans la grisaille

Nous avons sĂ©journĂ© une semaine du 21 au 28/08/21 avec mon mari et mes 3 enfants. La cadre est idĂ©al pour se reposer. Les photos ne reflĂštent pas assez la beautĂ© des lieux. Maison trĂšs propre, trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©e. TrĂšs spacieuse et trĂšs trĂšs confortable. 4VTT Ă  disposition. Piscine trĂšs agrĂ©able. Wifi fonctionne trĂšs bien . Les propriĂ©taires sont trĂšs aimables et Ă  l'ecoute. La ville la plus proche est Ă  20 mns en voiture pour faire les courses (Inter marchĂ©, continente et aldi). Si vous souhaitez vous reposer Ă  la campagne c'est lĂ  oĂč il faut aller. AprĂšs notre road trip de 15 jours nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ© notre sĂ©jour Ă  montĂ© cerro. je rĂȘverai d'y vivre 😁

Vacances inoubliables

Petit coin de paradis sur Terre, tout a ete parfait, l accueil et la gentillesse des propriétaires, la propreté irréprochable, la maison est superbe, je trouve d ailleurs que les photos sur le site ne sont pas assez significatives, la réalité est bien meilleure. La maison est grande, trÚs équipée, la climatisation n est pas nécessaire, c est une maison fraßche, les chambres sont équipées de ventilateurs que nous n avons pratiquement pas utilisés. La vue sur la prairie est superbe, un calme époustouflant entoure ce magnifique paysage, quel contraste avec le monde dans lequel nous vivons aujourd'hui... Nous n oublierons jamais ce séjour, un grand merci a Patrick et Sue pour nous avoir donner la chance de découvrir ce petit bijou du Portugal. J espere avoir la chance d y retourner un jour dans ma vie. Je vous le recommande a tous.

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und es ist an alles gedacht. Die Gastgeber haben uns spĂ€t abends persönlich empfangen und alles erklĂ€rt. WĂ€hrend unseres Aufenthalts wurde der Pool einmal gereinigt. Das Haus liegt ruhig und abgelegen, sodass ein Auto unbedingt erforderlich ist. Wir wĂŒrden das Haus jederzeit wieder buchen.

Segunda vez que vamos para esta casa e continua tudo excelente! Local tranquilo, casa muito bem equipada e limpeza exemplar. ProprietĂĄrios 5*, muito amĂĄveis, disponĂ­veis e acolhedores. Iremos voltar!

Herrlich ruhiger und entspannter Urlaub

Wir waren das 2. mal dort. Ein herrliches Haus, ruhig in einer grĂŒnen Landschaft mit einzelnen Korkeichen.Das Haus hat alles was zum leben braucht. Sue und Patrick sind sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber.Im Ort gibt es einen BĂ€cker, kleinen Supermarkt und eine Apotheke. Im nahen Santiago alles weitere.Touristische Highlights sind rar, da muss man etwas fahren
