Wake up to the sun shining on the water and have a cup of coffee in your private dock house. Watch for great blue herons, egrets, and flying fish. Experience the ebb and flow of tides. Take your paddle boat or kayak out at high tide to explore Tybee's waters. The entire property is fully fenced in with various seating areas including a deck, two screened in porches, the dock house, and the dock itself. The dock house has ambient lighting and three fans to keep you comfortable as you watch the sun rise or set. Build a fire in the fire pit or fish off the dock. Relax inside in one of the four soothing bedrooms or lounge areas with TVs and DVD players.

About Laura Garcia
We bought this home so our children could continue to grow up together as family. Sarah, originally from Kansas, JoAnne, originally from Kentucky, and Laura from Virginia decided to join together to give David and Annabelle their own slice of Tybee heaven. Our kids and dogs just love their Tybee getaway and we hope that you will too!
Laura Garcia purchased this House in 2013

Had a great time at Bye Bye Blues! Owners helpful at every request. Dockhouse great gathering place. Thanks for sharing your home with us!
Clean, charming, & spacious
We booked this for a mini family reunion for a long weekend. The website photos represented the home very accurately except for the neighborhood. When we pulled down the street the first “house” on the corner was a large broken down trailer! I blurted out, “Oh no this is not good!” When we pulled up to our house directly next door I was still skeptical and had to look again at the photo online. Once through the double gates (held by a bungy cord) and in the driveway I could see it was probably going to be fine. We met the owners Mom who was lovely and showed us everything. The inside was very cozy, roomy and definitely had that relaxing beach vibe. The dock house was equally charming with plenty of space for the 9 of us plus 3 local dinner guests we invited. It’s a few minutes walk to the end of our street to the legendary Crab Shack which we frequented every other night. Off the main highway and less than a mile away were little shops with local art & unique gifts, and 2 great places to watch sportst, enjoy drinks and local chow. One place, Huk-A-Poos, served the best pizza I’ve ever had this far south and I’m a New Yorker so that says slot! It was cheap too! The other was a sort of trailer/bar called Gerald’s Pig & Shrimp Tybee Island BBQ. Excellent food and divey/cool atmosphere. The few disappointments were the street itself which was a combo some nice & some shabby homes. The boat slip is unusable, the water at the dock was brackish and we did not want to swim in it, fence had weird kind of creepy spray painted images, and no golf carts were aloud at this end of the island. We did rent tandem bikes for 3 days. I would probably rent again because the house layout/decor and the location (more off the beaten path) gave us the opportunity to visit unique places we might not have seen otherwise. Also allows pets! 👍🏻
Everything was as expected. Thank you!

Great location and house.
Very comfortable, accommodated 8 people very well, easy access (6+ minutes) to several beaches. Loved the dock house, especially in the evening to eat and play games. Just down the road from the BEST restaurant on the island, The Crab Shack.
Great place for family gathering.
Spent the week of July 4th at Bye Bye Birdie. Wonderful house with separate entrances upstairs and down. Perfect for my son and his family downstairs, and my spouse and myself and our daughter upstairs. Loved the boathouse and dock, lovely decor in the house, great location to beach and Savannah. Well-equipped kitchen and bathrooms, lots of books, puzzles, and games. Comfortable beds, and lovely views. Would love to stay there again. Highly recommend. Thanks to owners for sharing their great home!
Very relaxing and comfortable home for families.
Our family had a wonderful stay at Bye Bye Blues. Our three young men enjoyed having their own space in the downstairs apartment. The upstairs living area was spacious and very comfortable with high ceilings. The dock house was fantastic! It was spacious, peaceful and comfortable for all of us to have dinners and play games. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to borrow your little slice of heaven for a week, we absolutely loved it and had a very relaxing time. We hope to return again very soon.
The Yost Family
The best thing about Bye Bye Blues is the spectacular private dock and fully furnished dock house! Perfect for bird watching, fishing, shrimping, crabbing, canoeing, paddle boarding and kayaking. Enjoy morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail on the dock and watch for great blue herons, egrets, wood storks, and osprey. Additionally, the backyard is fully fenced in. Lots of room for children and small dogs. Walk to the Crab Shack for seafood and margaritas and see some gators!
