We checked in to find the property in clearly unacceptable and unsanitary condition. The patio was visibly dirty, and there were dead biugs inside all three rooms near the windows, which posed a health and hygiene concern. I reported this immediately. The host apologized, acknowledged the problem, but stated he could not arrange cleaning the same day due to New Year’s Eve. Since this was a holiday stay and we had to use the space, we were forced to purchase supplies and clean the patio and bedrooms ourselves.We paid high/premium for this stay, including a cleaning fee, and the property was not clean or properly prepared at check-in. This caused avoidable inconvenience, distress, and work for our family during a special stay.
