The house was wonderful. We loved the dock and the deck. The living room is large and beautiful. The bedrooms are great and it was nice to have a bathroom in each one. The host was very communicative. We had a wonderful time and it was perfect for our family and close friends who joined us.

The property is beautiful, warm and well stocked with everything to have a wonderful relaxing weekend. The hosts were easy to reach with any questions and always quick to respond. We had both are kids families and children ranged from two to fourteen and they loved the time together playing. Highly recommend this place for relaxing, celebrating events and fishing. Perfect for large groups and family activities.

Whoa. What a trip we had. Short but awesome. The house is fabulous. So well decorated. Just perfect for our group of 6 with 3 teenagers. Loved the loft. Loved the clean and well appointed kitchen. Thanks for the coffee options! That was appreciated. I can’t overstate how much better it is to stay at a place on the water. Dock and boat access right at the house was great. And the cove is a very nice and quiet hang out spot. Paddle boards that were provided were super fun. Thank you so much for having the 3 boards for us to use. We will see you again next Summer! Heck. Maybe this Fall.

Everything was great! There was enough room to fit us all comfortably and so many bathrooms was a big bonus.We had so much fun exploring the local area, just a short drive away.We had a beautiful view of the lake with a short walk down to the dock that had a swing on it! Some of us even enjoyed fishing in the little shed on the water.We came in the winter time, but can’t wait to come back in the spring or summer. Our host was so thoughtful they even had it decorated for Christmas!

WOW!!! Our family traveled to Grand Lake, OK from Kansas City for the first time and Oh. My. Goodness!! This is now our go-to lake getaway (Ozarks who??) This property was everything we needed for a relaxing family getaway. We traveled with our two boys (16 and 10) and my mother/father in law. Plenty of space for the two families to have enough space while also getting some quality bonding time it. My 10 year old son loved the loft!The house was well stocked, decorated beautifully and very comfortable. The beds were some of the most comfortable beds we have ever had in a VRBO. We spent almost every day on the dock swimming, listening to music and fishing! Shangri-La was an 8 minute drive - we went to Eddy's Dockside bar for live music and dancing on Saturday night. We enjoyed a Sunday-Funday on a rented boat which we rented from Sail Grand (very reasonably priced too!) We have decided to make this trip an annual family getaway - thank you thank you for helping us build a lifetime of memories!

Excellent communication. The property was just as advertised. This place is great. Such a wonderful setting in a quiet cove with a fabulous view. Wonderful space on the dock for the boat and the covered fishing room is super cool. They even have a swing for two on the dock as well. The house is so nice. It had everything we needed, was spotless and the decor is so perfect. Plenty of space for everyone. Big deck with party lights with cooking area and all time gas grill and outdoor TV. A couple of indoor treats as well. The loft for the kids and the "hidden bathroom." Fantastic!One thing that surprised me was that the house is in such a great location on the island. So close to golf, the resort and The Anchor. Next time we stay here we will likely plan ahead better and rent a golf cart. Restaurants and golf so close by.We will be back.

Hi!Can I just say that this place is amazing?! The house decor is spot on with the theme of lake getaway. The host was very responsive to questions and answered all my questions prior to arrival and while we were there. We went for a weekend getaway after the holidays with our 4 kids and they were all fighting over who got to sleep in the loft. There were plenty of rooms and bathrooms for all of us. In fact, there was a bed for everyone. It was so nice and cozy that no one asked for us to turn the TV on. They were constantly exploring something. The highlight was fishing off the heated boat slip during the winter. Would love to come back during the spring/summer to catfish at night. We enjoyed the small town feel of the surrounding areas and the idyllic shopping. The kids liked the pizza place in town called Goodfellas. I enjoyed the tea bar at the Local Farm to Table. My husband liked the One Eyed Monkey for a good burger. We could have spent more time at Har-Ber Village but did not plan to enjoy it that much! We randomly stopped by the Legacy of Liberty Memorial Park (almost could walk to it). The stories and equipment there are a sight to see. They even have a Higgins boat! What a wonderful getaway without the stress of the big city. We will definitely be back!

We had a fun-filled few days staying at this beautiful lake house on Monkey Island with our three boys. The home is “lakeside luxury” and is tastefully decorated with comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, and a perfect location for those who want to be on the lake. The boys loved sleeping in the loft area and also spent their free time at the house fishing off the dock. We rented boats and jet skis from two nearby marinas and found the process seamless. We enjoyed some time at the nearby Shangri-la Resort and also found several local fun dining options. A new summer tradition has been born! We will be back!

We chose this house because of it's excellent location. It's on the water. Has a covered dock with a boat slip and indoor fishing. It is literally across the street from the airport. How convenient. The par 3 golf course is also across the street and Shangri La Resort and 18 hole course just around the corner. Tons of stuff to do right here.

What makes this property unique

The house is in great shape and is a perfect perch to launch for your days activities on the island and lake as well as simply hang out and enjoy the vibe and watch the water. The cove is also a great spot for paddle boarding, kayaking and playing around.
