Beachfront Condo on the Ground Floor!
"This is an amazing condo with the most spectacular scenery. The condo itself is three bedroom with 2 full baths, kitchen, dining area, living room, and a fabulous deck you will certainly enjoy. You can message me on social media ,Beach Vacations in Alabama. The 50 ft. frontal deck has an unobstructed view of the beach and beautiful Gulf water. The front deck wraps around to a side deck which includes an outdoor dining area. Here you can enjoy a morning coffee while watching dolphins or star gaze at night and listen to the relaxing sound of ocean waves. Access to the deck is available from either of two bedrooms or the living room. The beach is literally just a few steps away from the deck. The pool, grill, hot tub, arcade and fitness area are all close by, so you can enjoy it all! The Master Bedroom has a King bed that is comfortable enough to sleep the night away! You can snuggle up with a good book, or just relax and watch TV with a nice view of the beach. There is a flat-screen TV with cable service. The Master Bath has his and her sinks with brand new barn door walk-in closet. 'Seashell Paradise' is the condos second room and is furnished with a queen bed. It also has a flat-screen TV, cable service, and walk-in barn door closet. A bunk bed is the third bedroom and has two sets of bunk beds. has a flat-screen TV, cable service, and walk-in barn door closet as well. Newly renovated is the 2nd bathroom and has a full size tub and one sink. It is located just across from the laundry area which has a washer and dryer for your convenience. The living room features a queen sleeper sofa and two chairs for you to sit back and relax while enjoying your beachfront view or watching TV. The bar separates the kitchen and living room and seats 4 comfortably. The dining area is located next to the bar and seats 6 people comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials. The fridge has an ice maker, and the dishwasher makes washing dishes a breeze so that you have more time to enjoy your vacation. Mainsail is the perfect place to get away and enjoy a piece of paradise and still be close to the great shopping and fun attractions that Destin has to offer. Loved the location and how close to the beach it was. But it was not as clean as I was expecting. We had several bugs in the unit. Might want to exterminate. Pool and hot tub were not very clean but overall it was a good vacation for us.

Perfect Spot for Family Vacation

Our family of 6 stayed in this condo for spring break and we had a great experience. Fast access to the beach, hot tub and heated pool on property, plenty of beds and seating, functional kitchen, and close to shopping and restaurants. Would recommend to anyone with kids or possible for two smaller families to share. Definitely going to book this property again.

Nice Spot With Easy Access

The best part of this unit is it being on the ground floor since you never have to use the elevator and you literally walk out your back patio and you are on the beach 100 feet later. Unit is definitely a rental only unit as the unit lacked character and had the bare minimums in decor. Do not let that put you off as everything we needed was there and easily accessible.

Wonderful Family Friendly Stay

Mainsail is a great property, especially if you have kids. The pools and hot tub were great! We loved this condo - right on the beach, no need for an elevator to access, great views and big enough for our family of 5. Having access to the beach chairs and umbrella was very convenient. We highly recommend Mainsail 201!

1st floor easy beach access

1st time to the Destin area. Loved that the outlets/cvs/ Winn Dixie and Starbucks were all within walking distance as well as some local shops! Sand was uncontrollable as expected even with sweeping daily. 1st floor access to the beach made going there with kids a breeze when we needed to run back to the room for anything. Porch was a huge plus. Family of 8 could sit out and watch the storms without getting rained on. Master was HUGE! Bunk beds were a bit wobbly. Master toilet teeters when on it lol. Kitchen was amazingly stocked with pots and pans. Lots of boogie boards and some sand toys were provided along with chairs/ umbrellas which was a plus. No real complaints other than simple cosmetic things! Loved not being in the heart of traffic. Close enough yet far enough to the chaos of downtown.

Mainsail

This is our 4th year staying at Mainsail Condos. It really is located in the most convenient area. The pool and beach are never overly crowded. This condo was a first time for my family. I will never book anywhere else. The first floor was so convenient. You can see the ocean from that level. The condo was spacious and clean. Thank you for having us!

Not perfect but it was okay

We love the location of this property and have actually stayed here 2 times. The first time we were more than happy. This second time there were some issues. The property wasn't cleaned as very well when we arrived. The bathroom toilet kept clogging, and the dishwasher didn't work. The property is in a great location with beautiful views a big porch and easy access to the beach.

Great trip

The location is amazing. You can walk straight out to the beach or pool. Beach chairs and umbrella service included really made a difference with a 5month old baby. Kitchen has pots and pans along with adequate utensils. Small amount of shampoo/dishwasher soap/detergent provided which helped. Towels and extra linens also provided and were in great condition. The community at Mainsail was great and the security is great. One parking space comes with the unit, but you can also buy a second space if needed. Condo also located across the street from Chick-fil-a and the outlets. The unit was clean. Could use a new fabric on living room couch/ chairs along with a repair on the sliding doors. Overall great stay and would stay again.

Beautiful modern condo in an ideal location!! Search no further!

I've been coming to this area for 20+ years and have found the ideal location for the whole family (young kids, teens, grandparents). This unit is on the ground floor, steps away from the boardwalk to the beach. So easy to move all our beach gear back and forth. Incredible panoramic views from the porch. Perfect for coffee or cocktails! The kitchen and bathrooms must have been renovated recently and are modern and beautifully decorated. Kitchen provided all the equipment for our cooking needs. Every room is equipped with TVs, but we spent most of our time enjoying the wrap around patio. Condo was spotless and communication from owner was timely. Multiple pools, tennis courts, shuffle board courts, grills and more short walk away. Dream location and family trip, we will be back!

Summer Vacation

We had a blast the past 6 days. Great location . Steps away from the beach and pool. Great views of the ocean from condo. Fully stocked kitchen except ice maker did not work. The condo had enough room for 6 people. It could have been cleaner. Upon arrival there were dirty towels still in washer to be washed. Sand on floor and on comforter in queen bedroom. The closet doors were off the track and the master bedroom sliding glass door did not lock leaving our personnel belongings at risk when we left condo. This was reported but did not hear back. Condo would be ideal if somethings were fixed and cleaned up a little.

Great Location

The best part of this condo is the location. It is literally steps from the beach. The entire complex is in a great central location as well. The downfall was lack of cleanliness. All the adults (4) in our group complained to each other about how dirty this condo was. The cleaning lady was sweeping on her way out as we arrived. This dishwasher was going. The floors were not mopped and you could tell areas that hardly ever get mopped due to build up on the edges of the floor. Ceiling fans and air vents were full of dust. The table had a very sticky residue that we could not get off. The patio door was very difficult to close. There seemed to be a shortage of pillows (we could only find 5) and they were very flat. The living area furniture was dirty and could use a deep cleaning. Lastly, the mattresses were terrible. I’m really not one to write a bad review, but I believe this condo could really be a gem. It just needs some improvements and a really good deep cleaning.

Location is great- won’t stay again

PROS- The location and having access off the deck directly to the beach boardwalk was perfect!The condo offered plenty of room. The kitchen had everything you need.The owner allowed us to check in about 30 min early and got us a temporary code to do so. CONS- The dryer was broken when we arrived( Friday). Messaged the owner & she was quick to respond letting me know it would likely be Monday before she could get someone out which we totally understood. I reached back out Monday and she informed me that “ I have been on the phone with them early this morning. They are looking to see if the part is there. It’s something in the switch. That makes the dryer start.” continued to say it broke with the last renters & had someone out to repair and they told her it was fixed at the moment but needed a new spring for the start button. She was not transparent with us & had she informed me knowing there was an issue before our stay we could have planned for not having access to the washer and dryer. Traveling with an infant and young children we needed that. Never fixed for us. Upon arrival the unit smelled of pine sol however the kitchen table was a sticky mess. Sand is next to impossible to rid completely but it was as if the cleaning person didn’t even bother sweeping maybe just mopped over it or not even at all. I swept the day we arrived & had a large pile of sand, hair, & food crumbs. Dirt buildup on floor, dirty vents, light switches. I could go on but out of space.

Beautiful View from a Poorly Maintained Condo

Highlights of a letter sent to the property manager 4 days into our stay. She was cordial and responsive within hours. The keyless entry also malfunctioned and was repaired the next day. Bedroom drapes came totally unanchored but we chose to rig them up instead of waiting for a maintenance call during our vacay. Dear Ms. XXX, I am taking time out of my vacation to inform you of our dissatisfaction of the unit that we are renting. For the past 15 years, we have vacationed in Destin and enjoyed the condos at Mainsail. While the view is exceptional, this specific unit is not at all consistent with the comfort, cleanliness, and upkeep that we have come to expect from Mainsail. Instead of premium accommodations, this unit is consistent with a 2 star motel. Some major issues for your information: Check In: Waiting for an entry code to the unit after our arrival was annoying. Queen Bedroom: The best room but closet door are off the runners and a filthy air vent above the bed. A drywall problem next to the light with a huge moveable crack. Twin Bedroom: Attractive but both mattresses sleep directly on the springs. Closet door is too tall for the frame and is off the hinge and broken. Upon arrival, both beds were soiled with sand and dirt underneath the comforter. Laundry Closet / Guest Bathroom: No door on the utility closet. Burned out light in guest bathroom. No replacement bulbs in condo. Kitchen: Dishes (pans/cookie sheets) were dirty with grease and baked on food. Overhead florescent light does not turn on without fiddling with the switch for a few minutes. Air vents are filthy. Living Room: Burned out lights over the dining table. Chair cushions are filthy. Sofa isn’t fit for any kind of comfort or support. I am 180 pounds and sink in the couch. The screen door is ripped from it’s frame. Master Bedroom: Just shabby. Overhead fan is loud and a rusted floor fan is in the corner. Blackout drapes are are coming off of the railing and the railing itself is coming off of the wall. A deep clean is desperately needed with the corners of this room absolutely filthy. Less than 10 various wire hangers in this whole condo. Master Bathroom: Closet doors are unable to roll. Half of the light bulbs are burned out over the sinks. Shower head is caked with hard water deposits and mildew. Towel rack over the toilet isn't secure to hold a wet towel. Missing cylinder in the toilet paper holder.

I was very disappointed when you are not allowed to park in owners parking. 2 were handicapped.

Parking was hard. The master bed is horrible. I went and bought a mattress blow up. It hasn’t been updated in 10 years. Owners get the front row at the beach and the beach boy was very inconsiderate of someone being handicapped and put his way in the back. He was very rude. We love the location of the condo and the closest to the water but I don’t know if I would go back again. Also they never seen the The code the day that you check in at 3 o’clock it’s always 330 or 4 o’clock or 5 o’clock before you get the code.

The property was awesome and the views were perfect. Parking was a bit of a walk and with husband who is older and disabled made things a little harder we had to drop him with one of us to stay with him off then go find parking, otherwise it was perfect vacation

Location, location, location

The best location. Nice place but slightly dated. My only complaint is it needed dusting in several places including the fans. Also not sure the back door is actually locking. We would stay here sgain.

It has brand new walk in tile showers! New beautiful barn doors for the closets. Brand new tile floors that look spectacular.
