Upon arrival, we had technical issues with the house. No wifi and the host was at a loss on what the problem is admitting that she knew very little of the house. The swimming pool inside lights electrocuted anyone who accidentally brushed across them. My husband, son and grandson all experienced the shock when getting too close to the lights in the pool. The pool area has 3 stands for umbrella's which are needed, yet only 1 was available to us. The host stated there are no others, yet, the storage unit adjacent the pool contained several extra umbrellas. The back porch surface area is extremely slippery and dangerous. We had to lay towels down in order to walk across the porch safely. The porch also had live hornets nests which we removed ourselves and had to brush the walls of the porch with a broom which were covered in webs and debris and had to sweep the pool area as well. There were smears and fingerprints on all the door glass and some windows as well as spider webs inside the house and debris on the floors. A beer can was left outside the pool area. The house was expensive and I expected more for that price of house in such an isolated location far from the ocean or gulf. The kitchen area could use mats on the floor as the brick is hard on the feet and not comfortable to stand on for any length of time. The house offers peace and serenity, but you will need to clean it and make sure everything works first in order to enjoy your stay.
