About the property

3 doubles, en suite, 3 singles, large dining/sitting, large terrace

This newly renovated house lies in a small village above the Rhine, at the edge of the village with views across farmland to the West. The 3 double bedrooms are en suite, with a neighbouring single room for family accommodation. Each bathroom has a shower and/ or a bathtub. The large sitting room/ dining area has large windows leading onto the terrace, on the west side. The kitchen, although compact, is well equipped for catering and functions well, and is linked to the dining area by a hatch. Also on the ground floor, there is a playroom / spare bedroom with a double sofa / bed and en suite bathroom. The floor heating on the ground floor and the hot water are supplied by solar panels in the summer. Parking and access are private. The tranquillity of the village is superb, lovely and quiet. The garden is an enclosed grass lawn, off the terrace which offers privacy and spectacular evening views and sunbathing opportunities. In house entertainment is limited to DVD, CD and satellite TV.

Wine and Vineyards: There are many vineyards and wine makers which operate locally in Spay and Boppard. The Mosel River is only 15 minutes away, with its numerous wine makers. There are wine tasting festivals, set out through the vineyards, to allow you to stager between the wine makers sampling their fares from the last season.

Castles and historical interest: The house lies in the middle of a region which is famous for its medieval history. There are Castles which overlook the rivers. The villages and the towns are many hundreds years old and the history of the region is fascinating. The Rhine formed the Eastern boundary of the Roman Empire and the famous City of Trier is about 90 minutes away.

Festivals and fairs: The world famous Rhine in Flame festival is a great highlight in August. All the villages in the area take part. The setting at Boppard is very famous and spectacular, with the fireworks being launched from Lorely, above the numerous cruisers and spectators who come to watch.

Spacious, comfortable house for large family

This very private property, located at the edge of a quiet village, is ideal for large families or, in our case, a family reunion. (The small photo of the house does not do it justice.) There are 3 double bedrooms, plus 2 single bedrooms, and 3 full baths upstairs, plus another bedroom with a pull out couch and full bathroom downstairs, so this comfortable house can accommodate 10 persons, The dining rooms seats 10-12, there are 2 large leather couches and several club chairs in the spacious living room. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, there is a laundry room also. We enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the sun sink into the horizon. The beautiful Rhein is close by, so we took day trips to explore castles, vineyards, events, festivals. A wonderful relaxing week!

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage

Das Haus ist sehr ansprechend eingerichtet und wirklich gut ausgestattet - von der Küche über die bequemen Sofas und Betten bis zu den tollen Badezimmern. Die Zimmeraufteilung ist optimal bspw. für mehrere Familien, nicht zuletzt wegen der vielen Badezimmer.

Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen und uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Top Unterkunft in ruhiger Umgebung

Wir sind eine Gruppe von Motorradfahren und waren bereits zum sechsten mal in diesem Ferienhaus. Das Haus hat ein tolles Ambiente und genügend Platz für alle Gäste. Die gesamte Haustechnik funktioniert einwandfrei und die Ausstattung ist genau auf die Bedürfnisse von größeren Gruppen zugeschnitten. Die Lage zwischen Rhein und Mosel ist ideal für Ausflüge und Unternehmungen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Sehr schöne Atmosphäre. Sehr großes Haus, dass wirklich sehr gut ausgestattet ist. Außerdem sehr netter und unkomplizierter Kontakt.

Ruhe pur in schöner Lage

Sehr schönes top ausgestattetes Haus in sehr gutem Zustand. Optimale Zimmeraufteilung mit Zugang zu den Badezimmern von jeweils zwei Zimmern oder auch über den Flur. Daher keine Durchgangsräume. Sehr gut geeignet für große Familien, Freundesgruppen oder Seminare.

The village of Siebenborn is high above the Rhine. It is on the edge of the farmland divided by the many tracks and paths which feature the landscape. In the close neighbourhood, there are the Bopparder Hamm vineyards, the Jakosberg Hotel with Golf Course and a sports complex. You have many choices for eating out: in Spay, the Alter Post Hof offers excellent fare, Boppard, (8 km) has a full range of national dishes and delicacies, as does Koblenz, 12 km away. The Westerwald National Park is just over the Rhine. The features of the Middle Rhine include the deep gorge which the Rhine flows through. River Ferries and cruise boats offer opportunities to see the Rhine Valley from the comfortable, top quality boats. The tranquillity and peacefulness of the village appeals to us enormously. There is no heavy traffic and little background noise. The village is active, with many children playing around. Everybody is welcome by the residents.

  • The bathrooms are all modern, with beautiful ceramic tiles. Most of them have bathtubs and showers, together with toilet. They are bright, smart rooms, easy to be cleaned, with towel rails, vanity cupboards etc.

  • The bedrooms upstairs are designed to allow families to use a bedroom unit with its own bathroom. The beds are modern and the furniture is all modern. There is an ample cupboard, room on the shelves and extra storage room under the bed. Duvets of various thicknesses are available. There are two per bed for the summer and the autumn and they can be used together for the winter. However, thanks to the heating and the insulation of the house, the winter option is not required.

Notes:
Swimming Pools: there is an indoor pool in the Jakobsberg Hotel. There is an open air, unheated pool in the Cravan Park, at Spay. There is a pool in Boppard. A pool for the garden has been considered seriously, but the liability to others when the house is not occupied was deemed too serious to take the risk.
