Down a winding, tree-lined lane, this modern forest retreat feels worlds away. Surrounded by towering pines, the home pairs clean architecture with warm, inviting interiors. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring the woods inside, while remote-controlled blackout blinds in the bedrooms create a cocoon for deep rest. Quiet, private, and designed for slowing down.
This home features a convenient self check-in for a smooth and flexible arrival. While we are not on-site, our local team is available if needed. We provide 24-hour guest support for anything that may arise during your stay and are always happy to help when it matters.
Barryville is a quiet, sleepy river town with scenic Delaware River views, a handful of local restaurants, and a relaxed, unhurried pace. Just 15 minutes away, Eldred offers everyday essentials at Peck’s Market, along with charming shops, local pottery, and wine. In winter, Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain in Pennsylvania is an easy 20-minute drive.
Guests have full access of the property. Please do not venture far into the woods as the boundary lines are not clear and there are potential hazards.
Step through the foyer into a bright, open main living area that feels both spacious and inviting. The layout seamlessly connects a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, cozy fireplace nook, and comfortable living room with plush seating and TV. Warm lighting and thoughtful design make the space welcoming from morning to night, while large windows throughout beautifully frame the surrounding scenery and bring the picturesque outdoors inside.
The kitchen offers generous counter space, open shelving, and everything needed for shared meals or slow mornings at home. A large island provides prep space and casual seating, while the dining area is the perfect place to gather over coffee or dinner.
At the heart of the home, the living room is anchored by a cozy wood stove and comfortable seating, creating an ideal place to gather, read, or unwind after a day out.
Each bedroom is designed as a peaceful retreat with soft textures, warm lighting, and a calm, restful feel. Sliding doors in the bedrooms provide direct outdoor access and bring in natural light.
The guest bedroom features a queen bed and private porch access. The primary bedroom includes a king bed, deck access, generous closet space, and a chaise lounge beside a picture window. Its en suite bathroom adds a spa-like touch with a walk-in shower, soaking tub, and soft mood lighting.
The bunk room features one queen-over-queen bunk bed, offering comfortable sleeping space for additional guests.
Bathrooms throughout the home feel fresh and spa-inspired, with modern finishes, clean tile work, matte black fixtures, and warm wood accents.
The lower level adds even more room to spread out, with a billiards table, ping pong table, and an additional seating area perfect for movie nights or casual hangouts. Please note this space is not air conditioned or heated, so temperatures may vary by season.
Step outside onto the deck to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, sip coffee in the morning, or relax in the fresh air after sunset.
Transit can be limited. There is a bus that runs from NYC to Port Jervis. For car services, we always recommend Upstate D-tours.
The property includes both an indoor wood stove and an outdoor fire ring for cozy, fireside moments. We recommend bringing your own firewood, as on-site supply may vary. Kindling, fire starter, and lighters are provided for ease of use. If you’d prefer, you’re welcome to request firewood in advance—we’re happy to have it available on site for your arrival for an additional fee.
Respect the Quiet. Sound travels easily in the mountains—please keep outdoor noise to a minimum, especially at night, so everyone can enjoy the peace and stargazing.
Wildlife Is Part of the Charm. You may spot deer, turkeys, or even the occasional fox roaming the lawn—just one of the many perks of mountain life! Sometimes you’ll notice droppings outside; they’re harmless and actually great for the soil. Welcome to the countryside!
Please note that New York State enforces an annual burn ban each spring (typically March through May), which prohibits outdoor burning, including campfires and fire pits. We kindly ask guests to follow all local regulations during this time.
