Additional Beach items to bring: umbrella, paddleball & pickleball equipment, soccer ball, football, basketball, surfboards, bodyboard equipment to enjoy your beach stay. Please bring your own small bbq or you can rent one from the Surf Shack restaurant.
Mosquito Repellant: Don’t forget to bring mosquito repellent for the late afternoons, evenings and early mornings for mosquitoes and other insects known as noseeums. They can bite and irritate the skin with bumps and can be itchy. We do recommend that you use mosquito repellent sprays, lotions or creams to protect yourselves throughout the day and night.
• Caracol Market – Playa Caracol has its own onsite market grocery and consumables store to provide all important food, beverages, consumables, kitchen items and toiletries at your convenience.
Things to be aware of: • Power and Water Outages - Panama does experience electricity and water outages and there is no backup generator on site for the PH buildings, only common areas. The restaurants do, however, have backup generators. No financial compensation will be offered for any outages experienced or damage to your property or unforeseen circumstances. Please pack your own surge protection plugs or UPS device to further protect your electronic devices (no damage claims will be considered). • Road Conditions - Roads in certain areas can be uneven and dirt roads, please take care and drive slowly when necessary. • Construction on site - Please be advised on Playa Caracol being a new development project and construction is taking place at various intervals on site and may be noisy. • Villa Residences and Tides Door Handles - Please lift the door handle to lock the door at the Villa residence and Tides units. The switch for the dishwasher is next to the kitchen sink inside the kitchen area. • Weather – strong winds Please be aware of strong winds and slamming doors and windows during the windy dry season especially that may cause damage or injury. Please secure the door to avoid any issues. • Cleaning during your stay - If you require cleaning of your unit during your stay this can be arranged at an additional charge of $40 per clean with the cleaning team. • Trash areas are located outside of each project with trash signage.
