Love this place!

It’s so big inside, but still so cozy and comfortable. Very clean and has everything you need. Steps from the beach and views everywhere. Lots of character and history and charm. Can’t wait to go back!

RELAXATION PURE!

Great location

Great stay for five days mid August. Clean and well kept with lots of little extras. Right on the water with stunning views of sunrises, access for exploring the beach, snorkeling (water was actually warm), canoeing and kayaking. Good proximity to groceries and other stores and sandy beaches at Miracle Beach. Can’t wait to come back next year.

Very relaxing

It's not modern but is well maintained. It has the feel of a family cottage that has been in your family for years. It is well stocked with everything you might need. The view is beautiful. Jamie was a great host very responsive and accommodating.

BC Amateur Golf Championship

Our stay was amazing! It was a perfect location for our son to play in the BC Amateur Golf Championship at Storey Creek Golf Course, just a 3 minute drive!! The hosts were amazing greeting us upon arrival and sending us off after our week long stay. The house was fully equipped with all necessities and the view was simply amazing. This was our first trip to Campbell River and it certainly won’t be our last. We will definitely visit again and stay at this fantastic venue!!! Thank you!!

Great beach vacation home!

Stayed here from June 24 - July 1, 2016 and loved it! Character home with awesome ocean views and very nice yard too! There were 2 eagles that kept visiting us, along with the seals and heron, and it was so nice to chill out on the beach every night watching the eagles and the cruise ships passing by while we sat in front of the cozy driftwood fire - so nice!!! :) The owner Jamie is also a wealth of local information, and a very cool guy, and he also owns and operates the Moat Lake retreat in Strathcona Park. Can't wait to go back!!!

FANTASTIC Stay - Wish we could live here!

Just as the cottage was advertised, the four of us had a wonderful stay. Got to see the tides rise and fall, a resident pair of bald eagles, sea otters cruising by, and a beautiful changing sky. All experienced from our cottage. The last day, close to sunset, a cruise ship floated by just as a light rain shower hit, with the sun shining, and a rainbow cast just in front of the ship. Now about our host, Jamie. What a wonderful man he is. Very generous and accommodating. Great communications. Always helpful if we needed anything. Wonderful stories about his home and the area. We plan on returning to Campbell Creek and definitely plan to stay again at Wood Creek Cottage.The cottage just has a warm and comforting feeling. A well loved home.

Seaside getaway.

Amazing Property

We had such a great weekend at Jamie's family home. A beautiful place to spend a relaxing weekend. The view from the front window is spectacular and such a great place to have your morning coffee. Fully stocked kitchen and very clean cottage. Already booked our next trip and can't wait. Maybe next time we will be lucky enough to see some sea life.

Great Stay Despite A Delay

My wife and I had a very comfortable and relaxing stay here which was much needed after the holiday craziness. Jamie was an outstanding host who met us late at the property after two of our sailings were delayed due to weather. He gave us a thorough tour of the place to make sure we had everything we needed then left us to settle in. The house was very well supplied for everything we needed and a healthy supply of wood to make the snowy evenings all that much more enjoyable. We found the property close enough to the heart of town to be an easy drive and far enough away to have some privacy and breathing space from noise and immediate neighbours. The morning we departed, Jamie was there again to see us off and ensure we had a good stay. The house definitely has that lived in look but it made it very welcoming and easy to enjoy. Everything was clean, neat, and organized. We would happily stay here again.

Awesome stay

The cottage was nice. clean . Great view. The dogs had fun on the beach. And running around the yard. The property owners were great . I would definatly come back again. We liked it so much we even got to rent it a few more days.

From booking to checkout the communication with Jamie was excellent. We had difficulty with ferry cancelations and Jamie was very fair to us.The cottage is very spacious,clean and comfortable right on the ocean edge with spectacular sunrises and a fireplace in the evening.Have already booked for next summer...steve and noriah

Perfectly Suited Our Needs

This is a quaint and interesting older home right on the beach. The house was fully equipped with a mix of old and new, and a few pieces of kitchenware and decor were a real trip down memory lane. Unfortunately, we were moving a granddaughter to the area, so we were too busy to be able to take full advantage of the home or the plentiful beach activities which were provided - binoculars - driving platform for golfers (right into the ocean) - beachside bonfires - but now we are looking forward to returning! We are already missing eating crisp apples off the tree right at the back door. Yum. See you soon Campbell River.

Beautiful beach house

Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely beach house, Jamie is a great host and showed us all the perks this house has to offer. It is a little rough around the edges, but this only adds to the charm of this beachfront getaway. For us, while having our morning coffee overlooking the water in the early morning sun, it doesn’t get any better.

Relaxing Beach Cottage

The only difficulty was finding the property. The sign is difficult to find from the busy roadway. My husband and I rented the property and shared it with friends and family for lunches and dinners. Everyone fell in love with this comfy home and beautiful property right on the ocean.

Fantastic stay at this relaxing beach house

Jaime's place was exactly as advertised, a relaxing stay at a charming beachside retreat brimming with character. Jaime was on hand to help with any questions and gave us a friendly welcome and sendoff after our stay. The ocean views and wood burning fireplace created a perfect cozy ambience.

Spacious and scenic cabin

The cabin and yard were large and comfortable with lovely ocean views. Storey’s Beach was a short walk across the rocky beachfront and lovely for swimming at low tide. Jamie was a welcoming host and kindly accommodated our early arrival. A sofa bed would have been a plus for the ‘sleeps 6’.

Beautiful cottage next to the ocean

A great girls getaway!

The cottage was right by the ocean with access to a very long stretch of beach. It was perfect for storm watching as we stayed comfy and cosy inside with a good fire in the fireplace. It was very well appointed with all the equipment needed for a very comfortable stay. Easily accessible to Campbell River and all the Tourist attractions. Our host Jamey was very friendly and accommodating to any of our requests. A beautiful spot. We will return!

Stunning views & everything you could need for your stay!

What a great property to stay and play at. The views are stunning, the beach goes on for miles and the yard is spacious and great for outdoor games like bocce. Sitting around the fire each night, looking out over the ocean was amazing. The owner is super friendly, and made sure that we had everything we needed (and more). The cottage is well stocked with one of everything and two of most things, it's like walking into a home away from home. The cottage is definitely older and has the beautiful character from it's original era, along with some dents, scratches and downhill slopes...all of which give it character and make it unique. With that comes a few small spiders on the ceiling that we dealt with before bed. The property is right next to the old island highway so traffic can be a little noisy in the day (we were out and about most days), but it quiets down at night. Overall, we loved this place and would stay here again! Thank you Jamie for sharing your little piece of paradise.

We are Jamie and Joan Wood have lived in Campbell River for 35 years. We have 2 children and brought them up with a lot of outdoor activities. We love Campbell River as it has every thing to offer.
We love to ski, fish, play tennis,golf and hike. We have a place in the mountains called Moat Lake which is on a 13 acre island in the Strathacona park

Why they chose this property

The house is a vintage house which was in the family since 1946. My granparents lived in the home and were pioneers in Campbell River.
It has the original hardwood floors, rock fireplace insert, and beautiful ocean views from every window. You can lay in the master bedroom and look out on the ocean, There is lots of greenspace as we have a vacant lot next to the house. Lots of parking, for family functions, weddings,etc.
You can cast your fishing rod right in front of the house, and catch fish.
We have a fire pit on the beach, for a bon fire. You can see all kinds of birds, eagles, herons,seagulls. Eagles are nesting in a tree right on the property.
There is all kinds of sealife to watch from sealions to whales to porpoises.

What makes this property unique

Walk on waterfront property, your own private beach. Lots of driftwood for those bonfires at night.
