Giancarlo purchased this apartment in 2013
entering this property you will feel like entering in the Italian Middle Ages , it's one of the most oldest and prestigious building of the City , in a luxurious courtyard you will get in love and never forget.
Any place right outside , like the Conservatory where the famous composer Gioacchino Rossini studied, or the Basilica San Giacomo Maggiore, one of the most significant creations of the early Renaissance Bologna, or the very close Due Torri Symbol of the City, the ancient “Jewish Ghetto” built in the sixteenth century by Pope Paul IV along with special and elegant furniture, the total silent and quiet you will feel in the apartment, will make your journey extremely special .
The apartment is small and tidy. It is perfect for a short stay in Bolognia. I especially liked the upstairs bedroom which felt like a cozy nest.
This apartment is well equipped, comfortable, clean and very conveniently located. Most of the major attractions in Bologna are a short walk away. Giancarlo is a gracious and helpful host. Our first morning, he stopped by to take care of some flowers outside of the apartment and was kind enough to give us a quick orientation and tour of the city. He was available and very responsive to questions throughout our stay.
There are a number of worthwhile tours of the city, as well as full day food tour outside of the city to see the production of parmigiano-reggiano, proscuitto and balsamic vinegar. It was followed by an lunch of epic proportions - an enjoyable exercise in excess.
Bologna is a wonderful city and I will refer my sister to Giancarlo when she visits.
We were very pleased with our week in the apartment. The location was fantastic and the apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything required for our stay. The apartment was quiet and a pleasant outlook over the old courtyard. It was good to be able to come back to the apartment and rest as the weather was very hot. Giancarlo was a very attentive host and kept good communication with us during the week to make sure everything was fine. Lots of information about the apartment and how to use the equipment. Great value for a city centre location and within easy reach of the train station, shops, places of interest etc. We would highly recommend.
What can I say about this place? It is absolutely wonderful! It is very secure and quiet within the complex's private courtyard. The unique architecture mixed with some modern elements is perfect and Giancarlo provides you with everything you need. We were able to cook several meals and had everything we needed. The apartment is close to everything and we were able to walk everywhere.
Giancarlo is very pleasant and is quick to respond to any questions you may have. Getting into the place was also very easy and we had zero issues.
We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone planning a trip to Bologna!
We highly recommend this apartment and Bologna. The location was perfect for us, close to everything. The space itself felt safe and clean. The host Giancarlo was fantastic. Picked us up from the train station and gave us so key points about the city as well as some ideas for day trip.
We would totally stay here again and have told all our family/friends that this is a must stop on their next trip to Italy. We're still in Italy but so far this has been our favourite place to stay on our tour of the country.
Outside in the street Bologna seems on the go day and night. Music, laughter and conversation echo under the arcades and between the walls of the ancient buildings. Once through the heavy door of the Palazzo Pannolini you enter a haven of tranquility. Giancarlo's apartment is the ideal spot to unwind and relax after a hard day's sight-seeing.
From the bedroom under a vaulted ceiling you look out across the inner courtyard. At night, you can open the window and enjoy the cool night air, oblivious to the constant rumble of the streets a mere ten metres away. Even if the spiral staircase is a bit perilous and the bathroom a bit tight, this is nonetheless the perfect place to stay, if you are set on exploring Bologna's marvellous treasures and culinary delights or walking to the station to venture out into Emilia Romagna for a day trip.
We can wholeheartedly recommend the Palazzo Pannolini.
Palazzo Pannolini is 50 meters far from Due Torri where you can climb stairs and sightseeing the whole historical center of Bologna with most exciting view of the city.
We will be glad to provide any additional informations to organize one day train trip to Florence and Venice, and short amazing tours in Tuscany countryside
