Old photos from previous owner did not accurately reflect current state of property
Our check in was great with some really helpful information from Mr Dennis. The location was lovely with good road access and safe off road parking and the restaurant in the village was superb.
Unfortunately the Villa needs quite a bit of TLC. The lawn had not been recently mowed and was really unkempt, there were plastic pots full of water and heavily used wasp traps littering the garden. A hose pipe was left lying around the pool and there were weeds everywhere. Inside there was a lot of mould in the main bathroom and dust all over the window sills. The description stated that we would have bikes to use, there were 2 and one had a puncture so not usable.
The worst however was the infestation of Scorpions. This is a rural property and although we appreciate the occasional bug and insect is unavoidable, the amount of scorpions was just too much. One even landed on my husbands face in the night.
Mr Dennis was very apologetic and assures us he will get this fixed for next summer and even gave us a few bottle of wine to compensate. Although that didn't really fix the countless sleepless nights caused by them. Hopefully this will all be sorted by 2023.
The villa just needs a bit of TLC and then it would be great.
