Rustic charm is an accurate description - simple and quiet! Located in the country but close to town/shops/restaurants. This older property has attractive renovations, especially kitchen and bathroom upgrades. Home was exceptionally clean with simple yet charming decor. We really liked the open space design. AC worked well and is remote controlled in each room as described. (Too warm during stay to try fireplace/heat.) We didn't cook, but kitchen appears well stocked with utensils & pans for cooking. Refrigerator had ice & water dispense. Beds were comfortable. Bedrooms could use additional furniture & reading lamp lighting. Master is huge w/fireplace & huge walk-in closet. Bathrooms have very nice upgrades, but lighting still low for an older person (shave/make-up). Third bath functions well as full bath (toilet/shower) attached to laundry room. Host provided essentials (soaps, shampoos, towels and such) & a few extras - laundry detergent for a couple of loads & a few snacks. Communication was very good. Host was very responsive and accommodating. Our trip was for a wedding located nearby. Our daughter was member of the wedding party. We traveled 4 1/2 hours and asked (in advance) to freshen up before rehearsal - host was gracious to provide us a 30 minute early check-in. I would definitely recommend this rental
