About the host

Hi, we’re Keith and Bobbi Cook — the proud owners of this cabin on the Gauley River.

For many years, our family tradition was camping, staying in campers, or renting friends’ cabins right here on the Gauley River every summer. Our kids brought their friends and cousins, and every visit, everyone fell in love with the river. Those memories are what made this place so special to us.

A few years ago, we sold our home in southern West Virginia, bought a cabin on the Gauley, and made it our year-round home. Not long after, we decided to build this beautiful new cabin so we could share this peaceful riverside experience with others.

This cabin was completed in 2025, and you are among the very first guests to stay here! We poured a lot of love into building it and hope it becomes a special place for your family and friends, just like it has been for ours.

We truly hope you enjoy your time by the river and create wonderful memories of your own.

Warmly, Keith & Bobbi Cook

Why they chose this property

We love how peaceful and quiet this area is. At the cabin, there’s very little activity — the only sounds you’ll hear are the gentle flow of the river and nature around you.

What makes this property unique

What makes this property truly special is the perfect mix of on-site adventure and convenient access to world-class attractions.
Right at the cabin, you can fish, swim, inner tube, or kayak directly on the Gauley River (conditions depend on weather and river levels — always check current conditions).
We’re also just a short drive from the New River Gorge National Park & Preserve, with its iconic bridge, hiking trails, whitewater rafting, and scenic viewpoints. For memorable day trips, head to the historic Cass Scenic Railroad and other nearby mountain adventures.
