Hidden Valley Farmhaus is a peaceful mountain retreat tucked into one of Durango's most beautiful and sought-after valleys, just 5 miles from Main Street. Surrounded by 4 private acres of pinyon, juniper, ponderosa pine, and sandstone cliffs, the home offers breathtaking wraparound views of Animas Mountain and the quiet valley below. Guests love the easy access to nearby San Juan National Forest meadows just a few hundred yards away, and the Colorado Trail, while still enjoying complete privacy, dark starry skies, and the sounds of nature. Outdoor spaces include a landscaped patio, firepit with Adirondack chairs, picnic area, porch swing, and several secluded sitting spots perfect for relaxing and taking in the scenery.
Inside, the two-story home blends rustic mountain charm with thoughtful modern updates. The remodeled kitchen features rich red granite countertops, sage green tile, and sweeping 180-degree valley views from the island. The dining and living areas are warm and inviting, with large picture windows, radiant floor heat, and a cozy gas woodstove. Upstairs, the home includes three bedrooms and three bathrooms, with beautiful natural views from every room. The private primary suite opens to a secluded back deck featuring a seasonal outdoor clawfoot bath/shower nestled against the hillside for a truly unique mountain experience.

Guest Access: Ample parking is available on the semi-circular driveway, with room for 4–5 vehicles while still allowing easy drive-through access. Guests may pull up within approximately 8 feet of the front door for convenient unloading before parking alongside the drive. From the property, guests can walk just 1/10 mile to a beautiful San Juan National Forest meadow featuring an easy, flat trail through wide open scenery. The paved county road that parallels the meadow is equally scenic and wonderful for peaceful walks.The meadow is ideal for biking in warmer months and for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in winter. There is a covered space next to a shed for ski and bike storage. And if you happen to visit during a full moon… don't miss stepping outside to watch the moon rise over the ridge and illuminate the white sandstone cliffs lining the valley. The night skies and stars here are simply unforgettable.

Note: The Farmhaus is located on a larger property and is separate from the main house, giving guests their own private space to enjoy. The owners may be staying in the main home during your visit and are available if you need assistance, local recommendations, or anything to help make your stay more enjoyable.
Dogs allowed (2 maximum) with paid pet fee. Pet fee is $25/day per dog up to $200 each dog. Dogs must be on leash at all times when outside.
We are only able to accommodate children ages 9 and older.

Guests will be sent a vacation rental agreement by Durango Colorado Vacations (the property manager) to e-sign at the time of booking.
Please note that the primary guest must be at least 25 years old to book this property.
A friendly reminder before you book your stay, is to remember we are trusted to manage independent and family-owned homes. We simply ask that you treat these homes and properties with the same respect that you would expect one to treat yours. Due to a recent uptick in unauthorized guest, pets and gatherings. We are implementing a strict one strike policy for any guest that are found having any unauthorized gatherings, pets or guest with them in the home. Failure to disclose any of the stated above will result in immediate termination of stay with no refund being issued for unused nights.
Please note that most properties are outfitted with outdoor security cameras.
Cancellation Policy: If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that are made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival will receive a 100% refund minus a $250 cancellation fee. Between (29) days and fifteen (15) days before arrival, guest will be refunded 50% of the reservation amount. (14) days or less to arrival, no refunds given. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy increases to sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date to receive a 100% refund minus a $250 cancellation fee Cancellations made between thirty one (31) days in advance of your arrival and (59) days will receive a 50% refund.

Beautiful house with beautiful views! Was silent and peaceful outside, lots of wildlife. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Very quick trip to downtown but drive back to the house feels like you are completely out of town. Would stay again!
